1 word MJL: (frank)ing Lazy. Oh wait... - jak521
The premise of his article is correct in that Giroux has made a lot of progress working on his faceoff game to where he is now at 53%, which is very good. But he is no where near 4th in the NHL.

There doesn't have to be explicit language to be loud and get behind the team. I myself am conscious about what I say at games, there are kids around and a person should respect that. - PLindbergh31

Don't blame it on the suits. The guys in Flyers gear are just as likely to be completely clueless. The play-by-play from these dufuses is agita producing. - bodiva88
Fair enough. Just lots of folks in general who aren't educated about the game, and scream shoot every second. It's very annoying. |

Speaking of the Philly Media, Pannacio's latest on CSNPhilly.com is about Giroux's improvement in faceoffs. In which he states that Giroux is 4th in the NHL in faceoff percentage. Giroux is ranked 27th in the NHL among faceoff leaders. How can he be expected to be taken seriously when he can't even get simple things like that even remotely correct. It show a lack of detail and a lack of professionalism. - MJL
I didn't look at the stats, but I did notice G won a lot of faceoffs in the last game.
He was almost automatic on faceoffs in the offensive zone. |

Ill go ahead and disagree on that one. There are also many children in the seats, and therefore, you should NOT be able to say w.e. you want. - MBFlyerfan
I feel that a prime example of language use would be in the series 24/7, how can one justify the language that the players use on the ice compared to what is being said in the stands. this isn't a bunch fluffy snowbunnies skating around. this is a brutal and lethal sport which deserves to be approached and perceived in that very manner by the fans |

Normally, with a guy like you in the stands, when I am with my kid, I usually just get an usher and have you removed. They are very quick to do it to.

Most people have the common sense and the decency to not use 24/7 type language in the stands. Especially when there are children (and there always are) present.

Exactly. Have to have respect for the people around you. No reason to come to a Hockey game in a public setting and act like a moron.

He obviously is not. Otherwise he would understand that not just me, but every one around him would beat him in to a sack of beef before the ushers had a chance to respond.
People dont take kindly to assaulting parents trying to protect their children.

Giroux has won the 5th most faceoffs but that doesn't mean he is the 4th or 5th best pcct. that is classic.
