I dont hold it against Lucas... How can you? He did create the original Trilogy, and Indiana Jones...
I chalk it up to this:
Lucas Prequels is to the original trilogy as Tolken's Similiarian is to the LOTR trilogy... - RooNosHockey

No, it isn't. Especially if only the Roddenberry material is considered.
Your DS9 garbage is not true sci-fi.

That's what I'm saying, it's not real sci-fi. |

I'll agree Gene's Star Trek vision was far superior to the post-Gene era. Still, seems a lot of people hold DS9 in the same regards as Babylon5 or BSG. I don't mind a departure from the formula, but I still feel like the excitement of Star Trek was preventing galactic war, not waging it.
On a related note, I think Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country was a great tribute to Roddenberry's vision. |

Yu're very diplomatic. We can't afford to be any longer. We need to address the pikey situation head-on. |

Are you suggesting we give Pikey the Pike treatment?

B5 was an amazing show. Seasons 3-4 were my favourites. |

I'm looking forward to watching it. I've made it to the middle of Season 5 of TNG, it's starting to feel kind of dry. I may be the only person who preferred season 2 to this (Measure of a Man is my favorite episode). After TNG I'll probably move on to B5. Is it on Netflix? |

DS9 was stolen from the original B5 so I'm not surprised people regard it the same way as B5.
And you're right, as soon as Gene died it seems like the whole galaxy went to crap and it was just war after war.
Star Trek VI and First Contact are two films I'm willing to include in the Roddenberry vision.
But let's face it, the formula for those productions was already set up. When it wasn't Gene getting the ball rolling, it wasn't Star Trek or even good.
And I hope JJ Abrams is hit by a bus and that bus veers out of control and hits Glucker. |

I didn't forget about this hive of scum and nerdry. Work's just been a female dog, what with the tax season.
Also, I don't mind JJ Abram's Star Trek, yet. Decent Star Trek themed action movie. If they're going to shoehorn Khan into the next movie, though, I'll more than likely have a bone to pick. |

Love the Death Star dodging the first shot, not to mention the clip's name.
