looked like a mid season game. the canucks played mediocre and then started to improve.

i definitely want a dman (gill or even bryan allen) plus a bottom 6 guy at the deadline. if they can't get the forward that's fine but they definitely need a d. don't like alberts out there unless it's an emergency. he's a tough, big guy but his skating is weak and he takes too many penalties b/c of his bad positioning/skating.

i would like to see ballard/tanev/rome (and one more guy not named alberts) battle for 5,6,7.

i was thinking reinprect comes up as well but i don't see that as a viable solution. he won't be brought up b/c of waivers so he doesn't have time to mesh with linemates. a deadline guy at least has a month with the team to start to gel. i know that the wolves play the same system but it's a matter of meshing with the guys you play with. higgy and lappy needed the regular season games last year to find their groove.

reinprect is nice insurance but it doesn't auger well if he's playing in the playoffs.

Ya I agree... gillis is sending so many mixed messages.

Along with the fact there only seems to be like 2-3 teams out of it (or at least would believe they are) there won't be many sellers this year... a lot of delusional teams there right now. Gillis will not give up 2 1sts and a prospect for a guy like ruutu.
