No love for Bob anymore here? - roenick97
I like Bob. But I think he is more valuable as trade bait for the Flyers, then as back-up. |

I would guess they would have to give up Dubinsky, Anisimov, and some picks... - RooNosHockey
considering they gave up voracek, a first, and a third to get carter and his value has gone down--perhaps considerably--since, yeah, definitely. that sounds right. |

Most likely. Thats karma at its best. - stveshdy
The Rangers could really use a scoring winger, it's their only area of need. It makes a lot of sense. It might happen who knows. |

To be honest, at his cap hit and the fact that Bryzgalov is signed to such a long deal, I can't disagree with this sort of thinking. |

hit was clean, erikson was admiring his awful no look behind the back pass and paid the price. - Flyers4Life88
The hit was obviously questionable . I'm not saying one way or the other, but it was a bit up a high and a bit late. I think he gets 2 games though. |

I think it's slowly turning into less hate for Bryz and more for the team defense tbh. |

Until you look at the names on defense. - RooNosHockey
Those guys are getting flak because alot of times the forwards aren't helping out. Furthermore with exception to Kimo I think they are all 3-4 guys being asked to step into that 1-2 role and it's just not happening. I really thought Mezy would fill the void left by Pronger. He has the offensive touch, the physical ability but just can't get it together. Just seems like the defense and team in general isn't firing on all cylinders, once it does look out. |

It would take more than that. A lot more. - PLindbergh31
If the rumor for Carter to LA was in a ball-park of Stoll, Bernier, and a First.... Then how is Dubinsky, Anisimov, and a first that far off? |

It's weird I usually am looking over the edge of a 1000 ft high cliff after a weekend like the Flyers just gave us but then I think of these names:
giroux, Simmonds, read, Schenn, Couturier, Gustafsson, JVR, Voracek, ah what the hell, Rinaldo and Sestito I have to say the Flyers are set in terms of youth. This young nucleus is going to be very tough to play against for years to come if homer can keep them all together. And damn Hartnell and talbot aren't exactly old either. sorry to be too upbeat but this team has bright future. - JoeRussomanno
they just need to throw a young dman into that mix and see an improvement w/ bryz and they'll be a contender for yrs. |

Any move the Rags make for a stud 40 goal scoring winger starts at Girardi + |

So you'd fill those D and goalie roster spots with league minimum contracts to get Nash? I'll pass. |

They need to play as a team more too. I'm wondering if they get more in line with the game plan and play smarter if a big trade or piece is really missing. What happened in 2010? They bought into the system and rallied around each other. The biggest move I remember that year was picking up leighton off the waiver wire after emery went down. Oh yea and leino |

I love how all of these people love to devalue JVR and say that he's a scrub, won't amount to anything, etc. And then, in the same breath, having him as a centerpiece in a trade that lands great talents. Make up you minds, idiots. He either sucks or he's good enough to fetch you top talent..... |

I dont know if they really want to mess with the chemistry they have. Carter may cost more than their willing to spend. If they can add another offensive player for cheap that would make more sense (Doan, Selanne, etc.). |
