Kind of a shame...nobody else would have managed to turn Scott Gomez into Ryan McDonagh |

to cheer everyone up: since Ken Hitchcock took over the Blues, they are 29-11-3 10 of 29 Blues wins have been shutouts

Just wait until Pietrangelo and Hitchcock have a disagreement over ice time, and Armstrong trades him for a bag of pucks. The Honeymoon will be over in St. Louis. |

I was about to say the same thing. He has found creative ways to make up for his mistakes. I am dumb founded every time. The NYR should have been dead in the water years ago with some of those contracts. Darn shame if you ask me. |

Good for Hitch. He is a good coach. It wasn't his fault the Flyers players quite in the season that we don't talk about here. |

Screw that, get an ignore feature. - Jsaquella
An ignore feature requires each person to have his/her own layout. It's very memory intensive (which is why forums that have it are terribly slow loading and glitchy). Yes, joke all you want to about how it is here, now, but believe me, you're not getting an ignore feature. I believe each of us is equipped with the ability to ignore all by ourselves, it's just that very few of us are willing to exercise it. |

If Quennville is fired, who would prefer the stache here? (I'm not saying I would or wouldn't, but it has come up that he's on the hot seat.) |

And he had to buy out Captain Dreary and bury Redden in the AHL. |

Well, people want to compare the Flyers to the Rangers, and look what they did-went out and retooled their team, they were patient with guys like Del Zotto and got rewarded.

I agree, I just ignore some posters and reply to those that are thoughtful. It is a shame that the random posts make it hard to find quality ones but it is what it is. Looking for certain posters names is my best tool. |

Not a huge Q fan. If they were to make a change, I wouldn't mind a guy with a good rep as a defensive style guy. Right now, I wouldn't make a change, but Laviolette has to get this ship turned around. |

So you're saying you would rather be a young team with growing pains now then sell off the farm for a short fix? Good call for Philly, but that is really simplifying the Rags IMHO. Lundquist is playing better then anyone else, they are getting secondary scoring, their top players are playing like their top players, they traded or convinced players to retire from the many bloated contracts they had, etc..
In short, it is a long conversation and yes they were patient with a young D man (which we don't seem to be able to do- although Coburn?) and I hope we can be patient with our youth. |
