are you sleeping with Luongo, seriously? Your obsession with defending him is getting beyond ridiculous. The guy is 17th in the league in GAA and SV%...those aren't good numbers pal.

Don't be silly, rey. My support for Luongo is much more level-headed than yours for Schneider. My statement simply said that I'll take a .958 save % every game -- it didn't even say from Luongo. I'd take it from him, Schneider, Lack, or any goalie in net.

Eklund thinks we shouldnt trade Raymond. He constantly has us in on star players but this is one player we shouldnt trade.

Rick Nash looks like he might get traded. Hopefully the Canucks aren't interested. I predict he'll go to LA for Johnson, Bernier, Stoll and a prospect or pick.

You happy with the game on the line, Luongo lets in a stinker? Does that make you happy???? Who cares about what he did before that moment, when the game was on the line he choked again. Then in the shootout, he's got 3 chances to win it and he lets in a goal each time. The guy is a choke artist and is going to cost the Canucks another Cup.

If that was the playoffs we go to OT without a shoot out, anything can happen. That's not the guy I want playing goal for us He can play well for 99% of the game but ALWAYS has some sort of soft goal go in on him

Last game against Calgary he looks behind the net the wrong direction, for whatever reason, and Horac scores an easy one on him...getting sick and (frank)in tired of it

I thought the shootout last night was all about who sucked more....Lu or some washed up backup? LaBarbi narrowly won the contest.

It was kind of exciting to finally see our guys step up & bury some goals in the shootout. But you're right... Scoring them against LaBarbera takes away some (if not most) of that excitement. He looked beatable on every shot. Raymond's effort was beer league... and why aren't we seeing more of Booth?

Beer League? That's giving Raymond way too much credit. More like Bush League... in Madagascar.

Again, rey, it's not a matter of happy or not. I enjoy hockey but it doesn't make me happy or sad. My point remains, if you care to get it, that a .958 save % will win any team almost all of their games. Weak goals stand out near the end of a game, but they're just as weak at any other point in the game -- the same goes for great saves and easy saves. Do you recall the game Schneider made incredible save after incredible save, but still lost the game: because of the 3 weak goals he gave up early on. All 60/65 minutes count equally. You came out saying things like, 'it would have been 10-1 if not for Schneider'.... Forgetting that it would have been a 1-1 or 2-1 game if he had been great the whole way. You can't have it both ways. Of course you already know that I think both our goalies are excellent; you just rey along ignoring that. That's why you're rey, though, isn't it?

Any goalie is going to let soft goals in from time to time. It's inevitable. Even if Gillis was somehow able to move Luongo and make Schneider the full-time starter here, there would be flaws to his game that we'd all harp on about. (Maybe his puckhandling, who knows.)

But Luongo is now a special situation that's very, very difficult to handle. In his first year or two here, making the playoffs was all the team had on the line. Back then he was considered either the top or one of the very top two goalies in the world. He used to routinely steal games all on his own and was so good that he intimidated shooters into holding onto the puck waiting for the perfect opportunity. His reputation helped the team defensively.

Since his repeated playoff escapades, his reputation has now deteriorated to the point where teams know he can be good, but they also know that shooting from anywhere gives you a chance. With him in net opponents believe that, even if they're being badly outplayed, they still have an opportunity to win. Instead of being a deterrent, his reputation is now a motivating factor for other teams. That makes things harder on him and his teammates.

This year they had better be prepared to go to Schneider at the first hint of trouble to try and keep what's happened in Chicago and Boston in the past from happening again.

It is good to see Canucks goalies finally getting some support in the shootout. It's tough to win those when your team 'constantly' (sic!) scores no goals or one in the SO. Booth's move was great, Burrows should use his best move more often, Raymond should be plunked on the bench to watch, and Hodgson should be in every single shootout (good to see him get almost 15 minutes -- still less than Raymond), and Edler and Kesler should be used when they're (seemingly) on their game.

Booth is giving us more *power forward* than I was expecting. I can now see his strength which I never gave him credit for when he came here. I only knew he was fast and had a laser of a shot. Seeing him come off the boards with the puck after winning physical battles and getting shots on net is impressive...even more impressive than him powering his way down the middle. I assumed his game would mostly be on the rush but I'm very wrong. He's a pain in the ass around the oppositions net.

I really hope this lasts with Booth. Its a good sign that he picked up where he left off after the injury. Right now(last 2 games), it looks like he and Cody are the forwards playing with the most heart.

speaking of Save %... Luongo is 16th in the NHL.

Want to know where he ranks for GAA?

Ya Duco > Weise. I guess they're scared Weise would get picked up on waivers. He better pick his game up, but it looks like Bitz is in instead of him anyways.

Booth was my 2nd favorite player in the NHL before he came over from Florida and would try to watch as many Panthers games as I could simply to see him do what he is now doing in a Canucks uniform. The way he is playing with speed, grit, and determination is his game and always has been. It's fun to watch and contagious for teammates to follow suit. When he was traded to the Canucks he joined Kesler as 2 of my favorite players in this league simply for the way they play the game on the ice. I'm really looking forward to see what happens in the playoffs as I feel that's when Booth's game will really take off for this team.

...and at .958 save % he would be No. 1 by a long shot. That's why I would take .958 every game -- which, for the third time, was my point. Rey, rey, rey, you're getting thicker and thicker between the ears about this.

I'll take every goal given up as a weak one with a save % of .958. He'd win almost every game...any goalie would.

The point is... Luongo not being top 15 in the two major goalie categories.

He blows more shutouts with 5 minutes left than any goalie in the history of the NHL. He blows up more than any goalie in the playoffs.

So what I'm saying is, you are dead wrong and don't know sh1t about sh1t.

It just means he is not playing next game... they do this a fair bit... pair up the forward odd man out with the odd man out dman. Just so he has a partner in drills.

Apparently Weise broke his nose in practice though? Haven't seen that confirmed though.

Whoa the TSN panel is blowing up with Nash talk. Whether he ends up traded prior to the TDL or not is a deal with many factors but one thing seems clear: Nash wants out and CLS is taking offers.

No, forwards always take line rushes on defense. Sulzer needed a partner.
