I think it will take just one trade to get this thing started. All the GMs are sitting around to see who goes first. BE ballsy Homer. |

Suter. Has nothing to do with being a "smartie". I hear people say how are they going to replace Carter and Richards. You have no idea what defenseman can step in and be just as effective as Carle. Its not a one way streetm, goes both ways. - stveshdy
Oh yes sutter wants to sign here...thats a guarantee right! what a joke your counting your chickens before they hatch!
ps i was in favor of removing those two pieces of poop before it happened and i took a lot of poop for it! |

Your lowballing an offer to a young defenseman who has talent. Those types of defenseman are at a premium. Why would he sign for less than $5M per year? |

I know but at the same time we cant simply dismiss carle as an easily replaceable piece. - Philly1980
Is he easily replaced? No, but he is replacable. And the Flyers can replace him better by trading for a younger d-man, then overpaying for Carle. If Carle wants to take a Home-Twon discount... say between 4.5 to 5.25 million then I may resign him. If not I trade his rights to a west coast team, and add another 2-3rd round pick to our stock. Hopefully we can package some of our picks to get another first. |

Far more likely due to how tight the playoff races are. And teams are waiting as long as possible to figure out how they want to play it. |
