I know this isnt very sportsman like, but if I'm Lavi, I dress Shelly in game 1 against the rangers or Boston and tell him to take the Goalie out... we will pay the fine for you... If Shelly cant do it... Sestito next game... If Sestito cant... Rinaldo... - RooNosHockey
your post has merit. I don't think the Flyers crash the net enough... |

I disagree, I think he is going to start getting the majority of reps. I think the Flyers are going to get a defenseman to play in front of him. I think they may even get some defensive role players for checking rolls. And I think he is going to start putting up monster numbers... And I think Philly will adopt the BREEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ chant. - RooNosHockey
I agree with getting a defender. I wouldn't trade for Nash, if it costs you Schenn or Couts. I want JVR to come back and look like hes a 2nd round pick.

Someone had suggested this player before, what about adding a player like Kyle Quincey from Colorado. He is having a decent year and can play physical game as well. Cap hit 3.1M and will be a RFA this summer. - stveshdy
Quincey is a pretty good below-the-radar puck mover |

The Rangers have our number. I wouldn't want to face them in the playoffs. As for their system, outside of having Brad Richards, they're not much different from what they were a year ago. - Schenn2shine
My question is:
Why are the so much better this year? Experience? Coaching/system? |

Team defense has been insane... and they are getting just enough offense when needed. |

I dont know how much it cost to acquire him but Colorado might be willing to part ways with him. He would be an upgrade over what we currently have. |

I do agree their defense has played outstanding. This is the same group from last year though, so what has changed? |

Bob McKenzie says that the Bruins re-signed Johnny Boychuk. 3 years, $10mm...good value signing |

Because they resisted the urge to dump guys like Del Zotto and allowed them to learn and grow as players. |

Like I said before, I would like Nash on the team, but not his cap hit. What I would do is play with Howson and keep raising the price on NYR until you make them really overpay... Like Dubinsky, Staal, Zuccerello, and a first. Then Homer goes... let them have him...
The only way I would take Nash on this team, is if they got Briere to waive his NTC... I'm not saying he would to go to COlumbus, but what if he would waive it for LA, or Montreal.... Maybe get Johnson or Subban back, and the space to get Nash...
If you were able to move Briere, then I would offer Bobrovsky, JVR, and a first for Nash. |
