I always expect the Flyers to call and check in on the situation but I can't see how it would work, that would require too many moving parts. - ob18
Completely agreed. D is what this team needs. Nash's contract is bloated anyways if you ask me. Only way this would work Cap wise is if Briere or Hartnell are going the other way (obviously not happening with their NTC). |

The Flyers are second in goals per game, and 24th in goals against, not sure why Nash would even be on their radar. - PLindbergh31
Nash is a big shiny new toy, the Flyers can't resist it.
Its like when Pronger was available.
I agree with you, though. |

if anything, I'd look to add a Schenn to this team, not take one away. |

Horrific.
(frank)ing Stamkos made more sense.
If the Flyers are adding any high priced player, let alone giving up assets to do it, it better be a d-man.
Nash is overrated. |

He was scoring almost a point per game before his concussion in early December. - Marc D
Yep. Maybe that's a factor. The Kings offense, has been downright offensive. They are in a playoff position currently because Quick is a stud. |

As much as I love Richie, and a part of me still does.
I love even more to see him fail.

Correct JVR & BOB are about half the cap hit Nash is for the rest of this year.

i can't see Bob as the goalie that the Jackets go after in a deal, if that's the position they are trying to fix as part of this. |

even with Pronger on LTIR? - Marc D
According to capgeek, they'd still need to move more money out...not much, but at least $100k over in terms of season long hit over the threshold, with no back up goalie |

They just changed course with the trades they made in June, if they traded for Nash they would be changing course again. Makes no sense to me, and I doubt there is anything to the rumors. And a trade for Nash does nothing to improve the weakness of the team on top of the other reasons I just mentioned. |

And the the Flyers would probably have to take Sanford back so they have a backup. |

If you think not resigning Jagr next year would only be about 4.5 needed to fit in Nash.
I would replace Nash with Briere in half of a heartbeat

They miss Gagne, he was playing pretty solid before he got hurt.
But if they were counting on Gagne for 82 games then that was a mistake. |

Personally, I'd like to see Bobrovsky moved to the untouchable category that Schenn and Cooties hold.
Dont throw him away so casually. |

I'd try and get Schneider from Vancouver if I was the Blue Jackets.
Or Bernier from LA. |

I don't want to see him fail, it would be tough to swallow to see him hoist a Cup before the Flyers do, right now each franchise is pretty far away from that. L.A, may be closer due to Quick. |

Getting a guy who has led the NHL is scoring and probably would challenge for it every year with Giroux as his center isn't throwing him away. |

Bob in a deal for Nash isn't casually throwing away, its a huge move.
Not that I think that is the direction they should go. |

The Flyers were brought up only as a team that is probably on Nash's short list he'd waive to go to. The Flyers may in fact have no interest at all, for what it's worth |

Exactly.
If you are even considering dealing Schenn or Cooties you better be waiting till the off-season and target Weber or another top d-man.
I always thought Nash was overrated as is. He keeps saying how happy he is and how he wants to be the face of Columbus. Let him rot there. |

Is Nash really that good? Good enough to blow up your cap structure and further damage the forward corps defensive issues?
I say absolutely no thanks. |

God, I hope Nash is traded tonight. 2 weeks of NashBuzz would be unbearable. |
