Suter will be a Flyer on July 1. - PLindbergh31
Be careful I posted something earlier about Suter and was told to come back to the real world and out of NHL12. |

I'd rather deal JVR, Read, Wellwood, and draft picks for Weber. |

Guess the Flyers are going to try and outscore teams if they add Nash. We all know the defense wont be there. I have no idea why this guy is even being talked about by the Flyers (when they need defense). - stveshdy
I don't want a trade for Nash. He does very little to improve the team, and depending on what was given up an argument came be made the Flyers could be worse. I doubt he is even on the Flyers radar. |

You mean one exists outside of Hockeybuzz?
I think we should look into some interventions..

We're talking about him because the Flyers are possibly on Nash's list of teams he'd agree to go to. No one (to my knowledge) even knows if the Flyers are interested |

If Weber could be had for that package so would I. I think it would take more. JVR has no return in sight, it's very unrealistic to expect him to be traded this year. |

Nothing surprises me anymore. We need defense so will add offense. I doubt they Flyers will make a move on Nash. His cap hit is a tad high. |

You really want Suter huh?
I worry big time he will be paid like a true #1 and he will never be a guy that can really carry the 1st pairing.
I'd have like to see him playing with someone other than Weber for the majority of his career, it makes judging him hard. |

I'm talking in the off-season. No chance Nashville deals him now. |

If Suter makes it to free agency, I would expect the Flyers to be the best fit. With Pronger's situation, and Timonen a year away from free agency, the Flyers are in desperate need of a first pairing d-man. Suter fits that bill. |

Change Read to Coburn then. Do whatever it takes to get Weber minus dealing Giroux, Couturier, or Schenn. |

Maybe Weber sucks, and Suter is the true #1 |

He'll have his pick of probably 30 interested teams, of course. |

Thus the problem, Your going to have to deal Couturier or Schenn, or possibly both

Fair point Nutter. I really like Suter's game. I think he would be a great addition. |

I think this all came from Dreger saying on TSN that the Rags, Kings, and Flyers were probably on his short list of teams he'd go to. I think that then gets turned into "those teams are interested".
That's my understanding of what's going on at least. |

There will be plenty of suitors. But you can rule out a bunch of teams right off the top of your head. |

To me I worry its exactly like Carle/Pronger.
Just because Carle plays (ed) with Pronger, doesnt mean he is a #1 d-man. That is being shown.
I worry about that with Weber and Suter.
Love the location btw.

Probably. Although what if they trade Weber for a King's ransom, and re-sign Suter. Not likely, but it wouldn't be outlandish to think that could be Poile's strategy. |
