Now they know how Rick Nash & Co. feels with Mason in goal.

Play from behind all night against a superior defensive team with an excellent goaltender and its a recipe for disaster.

Imagine for a minute if the Hawks played on Olympic sized ice - Patrick Kane would be so far out on the perimeter he'd need binoculars to see the net. That's the 'star' who needs to be moved out. 12 Goals for the year - Bickell might catch him yet.

Better yet, Imagine John Scott on international ice

Listening to Savard in the studio is painful! He says nothing interesting and he flat out makes incorrect statements!!!

How about this charming stat!. During the 7 games of this trip the Hawks have had the lead a grand total of 22 minutes out 420!!! The last time they lead in a game was in Edm. 5 straight games with out having a lead!!!

If we go back to the start of this streak in Nashville. They had a lead for 2 minutes!

In their 9 straight losses they have lead for grand total of 24 minutes out of 540 minutes of hockey!!

This losing streak is well earned!!!

All you guys with wet dreams over Rick Nash?!?!

After looking at this team....you think he will waive his no trade to come here and be part of this absolute cluster!!!

They've got like 15MM in cap space. Even paying Weber 8MM and Suter 8MM still leaves $10MM for upgrades.

Yep, and notice he threw that wrist article out there....just in case this goes bad.

This team is going DOWN. Its not IF but HOW FAR now....

Honestly, may be the best thing to happen to these arrogant bumholes.

Nothing better than a good dose of humble pie. I'm wondering how Hockey Operations is explaining all this to Commander in Chief McDonough.

The Bowman's guessed wrong in many roster areas, especially between the pipes. Hope that's the kiss of death for Stanley Jr..

And I actually thought alot of their defensive play was decent tonight. I don't think they are going to find much better than Lepisto and Olsen at the trade deadline without spending huge.

Nashville has $32 million committed to next year. That leaves them $32 million in cap space. Assume Weber and Suter sign for $15 million. They also sign Wilson, Tootoo, and McGratton for a combined $5 million. That leaves $12 million under the cap.

Weber is making 7.5MM and Suter making 4.5MM. Its like 5MM to pay them both 8, leaving 10MM.

Agreed. I told the bumhole STL fan taunting me at the bar, I thought Lepisto looked good.

Humble pie is the best, and I hope it resonates loudly....because for the 3rd or 4th time Bowman put his foot in his mouth.

This team is looking for way, and expecting, to lose games. You can see it. Lundqvist may shut them out by just stepping on the ice. That's got 5-1 or worse written all over it.

then what? Lets watch the spin control stories continue to come out from the ball-less ones in the chicago media...see Kuc.

This season is going down like the Hindenberg. I don't see this thing turning around at all. Bowman and management had a opportunity to make some changes in the off season and almost all of them have failed. In any other business setting, Bowman gets shown the door by security. Sorry, we'll mail you your personal items.

Most of posts I read in the off season were directed at getting a stud D man to replace Soupy and a legit 2C. We have neither. Over time and for cap reasons we have replaced Buf, Ladd, Madden, Eager and Brouer with basically nothing. Im not sure why anyone is surprised by the results. Letting Niemi go was the back breaker. I know I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said a hundred times but I'm pissed off as a loyal fan.

We backed into the playoffs last year but I don't think we get that lucky this year. Just my .02.

How much cap space will they have once they sign their roll players: Helm, Holmstrom, Abdelkater, Stuart, Hudler, Burtuzzi, possibly Lindstrom....

Too many negatives in the fundamental areas of the game and the stats prove it:

1) PK and PP percentages total well below 100% totalled- teams under that rarely make the playoffs and if they do they are gone quick.

2) Goals against - 2nd or 3rd worst in the league. Save % must be near bottom of the league too.

3) Faceoffs lost at key times and in key ares of the ice.

Not a playoff worthy team.

Yes it does....unless the Rangers take these saps lightly! But I doubt it...Hawks have beaten themselves through most of this streak.

My money is already in for the playoffs.....

I just saw the hightlights...again. Anyone know why Bryan Bickell went for the pick off and missed...allowing a clean point shot? Just more fundamental breakdowns...

It is the bottom!! Emery and Crawford are 42 and 43 in the league with S% of .899 and .898. But they are well below that the last 10 games. Only Mason, Roloson and Neuvirth are below them!!

let me break it down for ya, brotha

Hudler-most likely gone
Stuart-most likely gone(family reasons)
Bertuzzi,Holmstrom,Lidstrom- come back at same cap #,lesser cap #, or retiring
Helm,Abdelkader-due raises but not significant ones
