For Sharp? I thought his didn't kick in until next season when his new contract officially starts.

any chance the Hawks go out and get Brodeur from NJ? Maybe Crawford and a prospect or pick would get it done. Not sure if he has a NMC or what his contract looks like, but he would definitely be an upgrade.

Jersey is smarter than that. Not sure what their goalie pipeline is but they'd want more plus prospects. Regardless, they won't move Brodeur as they are clearly buyers having worked out a deal for Zidlicky and are already in the middle of the playoff race.

I would rather get multiple pieces for Sharp. Nash is good, but his contract sucks and he's not really a "grit" guy. Plus, it does not address the issues with the D. A good top-9 physical player who can skate, hit and win the corner battles (like a Glencross or better) and a solid defenseman (like a Sarich or better) would be what I want for any deal that moves Sharp+. How about Brown and Johnson?

No deal in place yet but Zidlicky has waived his NTC to goto the Devils..

Perfect pickup for them. He would have been a good defensive pickup for the Hawks..

He would have been a good point man option on our pp....HEAVY SHOT.

History says that the team that gets the best player in a multi-player deal usually wins the deal. In this case, it would be Sharp by a wide margin. Don't like it. You trade Sharp, you better get an impact player back.

And who would you like to sell for a bag of pucks: Morrison, Brunette, OD?

And for a 1/2 bag of pucks: Scott, Lepisto, Emery?

I wouldn't have wanted to raid the cupboard to get a guy who's overpaid and having a bad year to boot. Jesus peace, he's making $1.5/mil more than Tazer and isn't even half the player.

No longer a "destination" for players? Funny how 1-1/2+ years of crappy hockey changes perceptions around the league. Not so funny, really.
