Kinda upset now thatbit will not happen for sure...well what's next?do the Hawks win a game, fire somebody,or make a relevant trade..wonder what is going to happen first - captainserious
I don't know what will happen first, but I do know now what I want to see: The 'Hawks miss the playoffs. Then we get to watch and see just how committed Rocky is to getting back to the top. |

did you really think Columbus would trade him within the division? - IndianHead10
An emphatic NO....my god
The Hawks were not going to take a guy like that and instantly make him there highest paid player with 50 mil 6 yr commitment.
I don't think there was a fit unless a 3rd team was involved!

I could BOLD THE WHOLE DAMN post!! You are right the neither Emery nor Crawford have delivered a goalie low scoring win all year!! They are always out done by the other guy: Smith, Scheider, Niemi, Quick, Howard, Rinne...
19 shots and 3 get in...with 2 from plus 50 feet. PK ok tonight and still give up 3. PP...nothing new there... - bogiedoc
Look at the goalies you've named. Everyone of them is an established NHL netminder. Our goaltending wasnt the issue last night. The issue, like posted a hundred times over, is the lack of leadership and example being set forth by 19,88,10,81,2,7. Toews has had 15 glorious opportunities to bury the puck in the last four games. He has capitalized on 0. This leads me to be believe his head was seriously rattled by the right hook from Joe Thornton last friday. |

I sadly agree.. I want them in, but I want changes as well... for the long term. I really thought last year, would be the down year.. and they start to be back in the elite teams this year... I think I had to high of hopes. |

Someone wearing a Tomahawk better teach that big knob a lesson next time we play: DON'T PHUCK with our FRANCHISE PLAYER. |

Somethings up with Toews. Every since he came back from his injury, he has not been the same. Just look at his face off %. It could be the wrist but I think there is more to it than that. I will say that there is no other player in the league who gets mugged more then Tazer. Maybe that crap is wearing on him. |

Sharp
McNeill or Saad (not both)
Clendening
#1 pick in 2012
(guess) - John Jaeckel
That would be doable.
It seems like the first big deal to pop is going to start an avalanche. At least whatever happens should be entertaining.
Not a terrible game last night but Rinne was on his game. It didn't seem like any Hawk had an awful outing but the critical bounces did not seem to go their way.
Hossa going into the Power of Grayskull mode refusing to pass to his line mates and try to take over the game was pretty awesome. At least the guys he's playing with now know to get the hell out of the way. |

First off Joe Thornton is a pu$$y; capital PU$$Y. Second, Toews left hand is still hurt. Won't hear about it now, maybe in the offseason. But it's his left his, his power hand. Oh BTW, take a look at how his FO% dropped precipitously since the injuries: Here vs FLA on 1/20 and in NSH 1/21. |

No. But do you think Nash considered that when submitting his list? I doubt it. Hey, Nash isn't the answer and IMO creates more problems than he solves in the long run, so I don't even want him. I was excited at the idea of something major rattling this sleepy teams cage though. |

Don't think it will be that bad...but let's face it the goaltending they have faced the last 10 games has been freakishly shutdown...I believe its about .950 S% against.
That can't continue...right!! However going into that Ranger game is alot of pressure on Hawk goaltending to keep it close and they have been unable to do it.
But before they can get a win it would be nice to see them play with a lead for more than 3-5 minutes.
No lead in the last 5 games...yet in 5 of the last 7 they were tied in the 3rd. My god a couple of pp goals or pk stops or key save here or there and they might be looking at .500 trip! |

Our goalie COULD NOT STOP A CRITICAL SHOT in the last 6 minutes of a tied game.
He has to stop that shot, no matter the circumstances.
Our goalies - both of them - cannot make the important save at important times in the game, and that has cost the Hawks badly.
The goalies mentionned do make the important saves at important times continuously - no matter the deflection, breakaway, side-to-side - they get it done. Emery and Crawford don't - can't. |
