I don't know if Laviolette's short interview on 97.5 FM was discussed here today (not enough time/desire to backread), but I like that he doesn't really want a trade or roster change. He wants the guys in the room to fix the issues, which is mostly the special teams play right now. I hope the Flyers do stand pat. I would not be upset with a small priced trade for a D to help out Timonen's endurance for the postseason.

So I'm curious. If Schenn is a healthy scratch due to a coach's decision, and not an upcoming trade; why is he getting scratched? Is he even worth trading for, let alone giving up JVR? I don't pretend to follow the Leafs or Schenn's career; just curious why he's being scratched again.....

On a hockey note. I really like Laviolette as a coach. However am I mistaken to believe that he throws caution to the wind in defense? I'd like to believe that he stresses this aspect of the game but after so much discussion with others away from hockey buzz, I'm running out of answers to defend him. Can someone help me on this? Thanks in advance guys!
