How I pine for the adventure games of old. It might work, kickstarters are apparently popular in gaming recently. - BulliesPhan87
It's working for Order of the Stick.
*lets geek show*
EDIT: Advances in graphics are giving us just that: better graphics. What we aren't getting, though, are better stories/experiences out of the media that rely on graphics (movies, games, etc.). |

I've never done comics, what with my illiteracy, not to mention the dyslexia. |

Good one.
I played that for a little while (6 months?) as several family members and friends were. The novelty wore off. Plus, I got a girlfriend... whom I got into Xbox and Wii games. |

YEa there is no time for significant others while playing that game unless they are in your guild - JoeRussomanno
Seriously. There were three couples in the guild I was in. I only got in through my brother- and sister-in-law. They all still play. It's just not really my cup of tea. I much prefer pen-and-paper RPG's or console video games. |

hey get on vent
But seriously too much technical crap with that. Gotta have this gear set with these gems and enchants blah blah blah gotta quest to get rep with this faction so you can get the materials to put on this ruby slipper. I was like dude I just wanta kick the crap out of someone through a video game not live life vicariously through a pixel character. Just got to be too much.
I'm just done with video games well unless i play with my kids, otherwise I write stories and read books. |

Really enjoying doing that on a regular basis now. Got away from it for a few years there when I was playing hockey myself. Now? I bought a Kindle Fire just so I can read my old gaming books in PDF format and many out of print books that are available through Amazon in Kindle format (Fritz Leiber's Fafhrd & Gray Mouser series currently). |

I got that kind of game out of my system in high school, when I spent my entire sophomore year playing Diablo II eight to twelve hours a day. Now, I only really play single player or small co-op games. |

For sure. There is a pretty strong indie gaming scene right now that's making creative, cheap games. It helps fill the void left by the often disappointing $60 titles. |

It's amazing how much time you can dump into a game like that. I liked wow for the battle ground experience where you get on a team that lines up against another team then goes head to head against live players. Then the dissension and infighting just like we see here on this board about hockey, gets way too old. Then the fact you need to dump all the time into the game to get the gear to be competitive. If I could pop in there 2-3 hours and be able to compete that'd be great. But those damn games are set up to steal your soul.
But getting back to pucks, what do you guys think of this stuff about Lavy being the root of the Flyers defensive evils? I don't think he is just that the players aren't executing. But I'm running out of evidence to support my case. |

If we could get gill and gaustad that imo would be a major shot in the arm. IS it going to get the rest of the team playing well? No but those players could fill roles on this team that IMO we don't quite have the personel to do. |

i would like to see those two plus grossman. With the right playoff match ups, we could make some noise |

I was getting big on Grossman until i read Bill's blog today. I just have a feeling that if he comes here, that in about a month the hate would flow. But yes he would help this team I'm just not certain to what extent. Playoff matchups or not I think this team can and will make some noise. It seems at times they are their own worst enemy and should they tighten up the PK it might be enough to make them a deadly foe to Boston or NY. |
