I get the impression if we traded for Nash there'd be enough cap room cleared up even without Shelley being waived. More than one somebody would be going the other way.

If the rumors i read are true, and the starting bid is either Bernier, J.Johnson, and picks OR Schenn, Kadri, and Kulemin... Then you have to Figure a minimum bid from the Flyers would have to be JVR, Schenn, and Bob. No thank you.

Makes no sense to trade Read for Gaustad. Read is the better player and for less money.

He is for sure a better player but Gaustad brings things to the table the flyers need desperately. Also that;s just hypothetical and I threw his name out for the hell of it. I'm sorry but I do think he should be the guy we are shopping right now to fix this team's deficiencies.

He's a very solid player. I watched the Hawks/Nashville game this morning, and Suter was tremendous. He was better than Weber last night.

Regardless of whether or not Gaustad should be the target, I think the main point everyone is trying to convey is that Read is too valuable to be given up for someone of Gaustad's worth.

The Defensemen we have are fine. Yes we are missing Pronger so there is a void there. But you are gonna pay tooth and nail to get that guy with atrade and pay cash. WHy not just fix what you can without overturning the roster anymore and go after a dman in FA?

Depends on the degree. It's not written in stone that's what the injury is. Was just internet speculation.

At the VERY MINIMUM I want someone like Gill or Grossman.

However, I wouldnt mind if the Flyers went out and got Selanne and Visnovsky from Anaheim.
