Calgary won't make the post season again this year, and if they do they are out in 4 games.

They won't make it next year, or the year after.

They need to explode and rebuild. Move Iggy and Kipper in the summer and retool the roster.

Dion isn't a stud no, but he's better than Jay-Bo. Who cost 1.5mil more per season for 2 more seasons than Dion.

Aulie is the sugar on top.

Also... correct me if I'm wrong but Ian White plays with Nick Lidstrom in Detroit.

Dion's been fine man, trust me, we're very happy with what we got in him. 7th among NHL d-men in points, 8th in goals, 12th in assists....10th in hits, 11th in time on the ice, what's there to complain about?

Phaneuf's salary is high for what he brings and Bieksa's salary is a whole hell of a lot better... 4.5-5 I think...

But Phaneuf was given that deal when everyone thought he hadn't hit his ceiling yet.

Phaneuf has been averaging 25, 26 minutes a night. While it doesn't seem like much, Phaneuf at 22-23 would be a lot better.

He has to play that much because the Leafs defense, as much as it pains me to say, isn't a deep as we all think.

Schenn, Gardiner, Franson, Gunarsson and Aulie are still learning the game. They make mistakes.
Gunarrson being the most solid of the bunch, and Phaneuf's stats are waaay better when paired with Gunarsson.
