I take public transit and have a monthly transpass, I am allergic to beer, and I buy food/beverage only at Saturday afternoon games when I don't have plans to go out afterward. No programs, no gear, just hockey. If you can't go without food and drink for 3 hours, maybe you should spend the money on some lab tests. - bodiva88
Sometimes the Flyers make me drink... especially when I see that guy dancing... |

it's the technology. Now if you don't pay, you can't use the electronically scanned ticket, so there's no need to have the money in early to figure out who will or won't pay. YOu just have a card on file and they are pretty sure they'll be able to collect round by round.
Of course, don't get me started on the "service charge" for buying your season tix or playoff tix. Just include it in the damned tickets so I don't have to see it. - bodiva88

I woke up this morning thinking to myself how badly the Flyers need to draft a defenseman in the first round.
Claude Giroux
James van Riemsdyk
Brayden Schenn
Sean Couturier
Wayne Simmonds
Jake Voracek
Matt Read
Eric WellWood
Nick Cousins
Erik Gustafsson.
Sergei Bobrovsky
We're okay in every other position but D. I like Gus but he's small. He's really really small. - roenick97

soo... all within the past 15 hours...
- Luke Schenn benched last night
- Nash, Carter, tuytin not at practice
- Kubina kept out of practice
- Ryan Miller not starting tonight
I sense fireworks on the horizon... - Flyers2821
Miller not starting tonight has nothing to do with a trade, and more to do with Buffalo playing a home game tomorrow night against Montreal. |

I think you may be floating on a small boat alone in a dark unknown ocean with the idea that the Flyers are okay in goal.

He currently has 0 pp points. and had a whopping 5 last season. - jak521
What I mean by punch is a shot from the point.
The Flyers lack that quality point shot.
I don't know a much about Kubina, I could be way off here.
I would think his shot has got to be a better option then the current crop the Flyers roll out there on the PP. |

It's not all or nothing. If the asking price is more than a mid-round pick, walk on. - Flyskippy
Unless its a 5th rounder I wouldnt deal jack poop.
Imo you go after guys like Gill and Kubina when you are close to winning the cup. Maybe if the Flyers had a healthy Pronger it would be a solid move to make.
Currently the Flyers are not going to win a damn thing. If you want to improve the D then look at guys like Schenn from Toronto. A move that is also for the future. |

I think the Flyers are ok in goal, so he has company. I just have a feeling that Bryz is going to light it up here on out. Bryz is going to be Playoff MVP!!!! Mark it down. |

Toronto is in a position to use Schenn + to go get a guy like Carter, Nash or any other young big name out there. My guess would be that JvR would be a fall back to them making a trade like that. |

Unleashing the truth! Nutter sir, you are bang on. Rentals do nothing but zap the team of assets. - PLindbergh31
I think they can be valuable.
However you have to look at your team and truly analyze whether they can compete in a 7 game series against the other top teams in the league.

From a fan's perspective (and as someone paying for playoff tix) I understand that. But from the Flyers perspective, every game played at home in the playoffs is revenue earned. They want to go as deep as they can, for the money and for the experience for this pretty young team. Cooter and Schenn would really benefit by going a round or two and seeing what it's all about. And Simmonds might enjoy actually winning a round. |

I dont know if it would help. Meszy has a hell of a shot... They have tried JvR and others with shots as well. I think the problem isnt the actual shooter but the inability to set the shooter up on the PP. Other teams move the puck and set that point shot up.. the Flyers dont do that. |

Well then I must have been abandoned a week or 2 ago because it wasn't that long ago that Bryz was struggling and many on this board were calling for Bob to be our number 1. Bob is a young goaltender who's held up decently in just under 2 seasons. Is he perfect. Not at all but we could do worse. He's been recognized as one of the better young goaltenders in the league. He has plenty of time to workout the kinks in his game. If the Flyers don't feel he can carry the load, they should move him while he still has value. Or they could have faith in him and allow him to develop. |

exactly.
The Flyers could use a quality point shot. I am not saying it has to be Kubina, I simply don't know who else is available.
In holmger we trust!

They are.
I dont think for a second though that every other GM has overrated a guy like Kadri the way the Toronto Media and Burke has.
A part of me cant wait for this deadline to be over. |

Why is it he doesn't get more PP time?
