Homer isnt stupid. What in Homer's past makes you think he is just going to give away player like JVR? I mean we didnt trade carter or jvr or Giroux or richards at the deadline for anything... even when Vokoun was being dangled...
- RooNosHockey

You are correct sir. Homer gives away picks

I couldnt believe it when i watched the video on gas prices the other day...Guess making millions isnt enough, they need to make billions...Wall street doesnt help matter either where they drive the cost of Oil up...
- Buzzo

It's time to bring the Oil dredges to Alaska and Texas. I hate to say it, but it doesnt matter how "pretty" people like things... This country is too large to depend on public transportation. Our entire economy will die if gas prices go much higher...

It comes with its consequences.

I dont doubt that. I just applaud them for trying while others would sit on their hands and do nothing.

You dont win without taking risks, imo.

Tweaked to better illustrate my trepidation.

Other then Sharp, who have we traded away at the deadline that became a huge star player?

For sure.

Yup.

I think if Homer trades a young player from this team, he will get back a very nice return...it will not be for a rental player.

True, but I doubt we see JvR or Couturier or Schenn moved for a rental. They move a kid like that, it's for a guy who will be playing here for years.
- Jsaquella

I say they move JVR for another guy thats comparable but on defense and that is not 37 years old lol. Luke schenn would fit nicely...GID homer

Agreed. If those guys are moved it will be for a Nash, Ryan, Getzlaf, Schenn, Johnson, Weber, Suter type of player...

Why not? Their still in the playoffs and he has done a nice job in Chicago. They have the talent to turn it around and go far into the playoffs.

Sharp wasn;t even a deadline deal, it was a prospect for prospect trade.

Justin Williams is really the only guy traded at the deadline that went on to have a good career...maybe Niinimaa.

You would think he would, but I don't know. How many consecutive losses can a coach survive even with past success?

Maybe. The core from their Cup team is still there, goaltending is a huge issue there right now.
