Carter is scoring at a better clip than Nash this year.
People wanted to run Carter out of town, I can't imagine the same not happening considering the cap hit etc. |

I'm trying to figure out how to take you. I generally like everyone here, but if joking that's one thing and I get it but if you're serious I'm concerned. - JoeRussomanno

It can be done though. Pittsburgh has two players making 8.7M per year. When you look at their roster they have plenty of players making good money, you just have to get the right pieces that work for your team. Granted those two players are Malkin and Crosby. LOL. - stveshdy
Yes and it's going to happen here with G, Schenn and cooter down the road. That's why I don't Nash now. This team is set up now to be a dynasty in 5 years. Why throw that away now for a guy that is not putting you over the top. |

Will see what Carter can do if he gets stuck in Columbus as the guy. Nash has done plenty considering he has been the Blue Jackets. He gets all the attention when playing other top lines. - stveshdy
I think Carter would thrive as the #1 guy if he said to hell with it and just played hockey and stopped sulking.
I could be wrong. |

I think carter is a good player but not a lead dog. He is a nice piece to add to a team that is established. Im surprised Detroit isnt looking to add him at the deadline. |

that would be awesome, some people would rather have bobby ryan though and im on the fence about it cuz ryan is more physical and less cap hit |

I remember telling MJL Bobby Ryan wouldn't be on the Ducks after 2012.

Bobby Ryan would be a better fit cap wise. Anaheim on the other hand probably isnt going to trade him. That opportunity has passed this year imo. |

I gotta say I thank my hockey gods everyday that this site exists and I can completely tune out wip etc. (because they give me exactly 5 mins a day of false flyer talk) and sink my teeth into great conversation about the Flyers everyday. |

The outlandish trade proposals don't really bother me. It's all in fun, no harm in that. It's the incessant arguing and trying to force an opinion down another posters throat that has no place. |

Since when? They are playing great hockey now and getting closer to making the playoffs. Why would they deal one of their top players? |
