Grossman fills that role, the nxt guy would be a puck mover unless it's a younger guy like schenn. I don't see us having the assets to make a significant deal for another dman unless JVR is healthy and I'm not anxious to go there.

I agree with you, it probably won't be a major move, you have to hope at least JVR or Briere can make it back healthy for the playoffs. I'm not so sure about another puck mover, I kind of like this defense core:

However, I do agree with a center who is really good on draws and a grizzled veteran. I've like Pahlsson in that role.

no JVR is makin around 1.7 i believe ... schenn is 3.6 i believe..... MAB or Gusty will be sent down as well so it could work but i doubt it would be a straight up deal

assume the standings stay the same the rest of the year. does anybody really want to face pittsburgh in the first round with home ice? crosby or no crosby, that seems like a disaster. maybe lava plays bob in that round because he doesn't lose to them. i kid.

flyers would be better off dropping to 6th and squaring off against florida on the road. maybe nj moves up to 4 or 5 and finds a way to take out pittsburgh.
