i always get yelled at for overvaluing the lightning.

downie is a solid 3rd liner on most playoff teams. he shouldnt be playing top 6 min unless its like the 2nd PP unit. we arent deep enough up front so thats why hes with purcell and stamkos. the downie moore bergenheim 3rd line was great last yr in the playoffs. notice 3RD line.

When I was at the one Sabres Leafs game I was really dissapointed by the one guys hockey knowledge. I was telling him how I was surprised that Franson wasn't playing earlier in the year. He was Nashville's third best d-man last season. The guy was telling me how he should be the 7th dman there once they got healthy. What a cluelss Leafs Fan. That just dissapoints me. Had to throw that out there because that's annoying.

I'm not a fan of throwing so many players at this trade.

Especially when there is a good chance Parise will hit free agency.

I do think we should try to get as much as possible for Kadri/Schenn because I think those 2 are replaceable and don't impact our roster if moved.

Downie, is a good player and I would put him on any line. He generates chances plays with drive and can be good in any situation. Downie and Stamkos have great chemistry and are great friends so I am pretty sure he isn't going anywhere.
