Yep, I agree, that's fair.
He has a new agent which kind of scares me. The Flames gave him a legit chance to rejuvinate his career though, he kind of owes us one. I think he will be looking for a Tanguay like deal. Which is too long IMO.
Think someone would give a first for him? |

They will move Rask, because Rask is not their goalie of the future......... Jonathan Quick is who they want. Quick becomes a UFA in 2013, the same time Thomas contract is over
Quick is from the New England area.......... LA CAN NOT afford to sign him

Rask will NOT be moved, he IS their goalie of the future. If anything Thomas goes at a future deadline when he starts his decline.
Just because Boston MAY want Quick, doesn't mean they'd get him.
IF he were on the market sometime in the future, there'd be another 10 teams wanting him. |

I make this deal. Why? Just like Sundin, Nash has consistently put up great numbers while playing with stiffs.
Not often can you get a 40+ goal guy...and the deal has minimal impact to our current roster. So now you have kessel and Nash both potential 50 goal guys...Grabo and Lupul who are potentially 30 goal guys.
Lots of goals masks our goalie and defense miscues.
It would however mean Grabo is gonezo... |
