A 'career' minus on a team that hasn't made the playoffs since he's been here....yeah, that's a great way to judge his potential. Numbers don't always tell the whole story. He's constantly in trade rumours because he's a player teams inquire about constantly....and if the Leafs are going to get a power forward they so desperately need, he would most likely be a piece getting moved in return. THAT is why.

Difference in buffalo is that you can walk up to the gate after the first period and get tickets.

Don't be mad that the only true sell outs are when Toronto is in town. I recall a Buffalo Philly game I attended...I had upper deck seats and was able to move down to the lower deck 18 rows from ice (not a chance this happens in Toronto..even though the seat is empty yet PAID for!)

Anyhow...sorry the Sabres will probably be the next franchise to move to Ontario...after the Bills

It's no secret the Jackets have been trying to move him and his $3.2 million contract, which is good for 2 more years. Burke would take that on while the Jackets take on Connoly's deal for only one more year....along with our 1st rounder.

I remember listening to WGR 550 Sabres games as a kid in 1975...the french connection, danny gare, jerry korab, gerry desjardins, bob sauve....rooted for them more than ballard's Leafs back then, and winced as the broad street bullies handed them their ass on a platter for the flyers second straight cup....that buffalo team was better than anything peca/hasek or todays miller/leino has ever produced....and yes today's leafs are just a shadow of their former history...45 years and counting, and still have the second most cups won in NHL History next to Montreal....so yes there are leaf fans that are totally in touch with their team's rich history, as well as other teams' history...that's a true hockey fan...not one that rubs the death of a team's player into the mud..totally classless and IMHO not worthy enough to be a even Sabres fan
