No joke, there use to be a Strip Joint in Richmond Hill that had an old barbers chair, and for ten bucks you could jump in the seat and a ripper would come up and recline it all the way back as if you were getting a hair wash, but instead, she would straddle your face and give you a dance. Too funny, those were the days.

I have been wondering why they actually count garbage time EN's vs not counting S/O goals where there is an actual goalie to stop the puck.

The cubs technically have more world series titles than a lot of MLB teams but they were in 1913... does that make them better currently??

- hubie

Hey bro...I didn't bring up the attendance stat...just sayin.

And yes...it is true...buffalo's record against Toronto is far better which is a remarkable feat given that a game in Buffalo is pretty much a home game for the leafs...for obvious reasons.

Nash for MacArthur, Schenn, kadri, Gustavsso/Rynnas/Scrivens, and a 1st

1) top 6 player (check
2) Young defenseman (check)
3) top prospect (check)
4) young goalie (check)
5) 1st rounder (check)

Who can offer more? Columbus would be stupid if they didnt take this deal!

- 13LEAFS01

you're still missing the top 6 forward and top prospect. Mac and Kadri only fill that bill in TO not anywhere else in the NHL. That's the problem

Carter, Pahlsson, Huselius, 2nd
FOR
Grobovski, Schenn, MacArthur, Kadri, Conditional 1st

If you think about it this deal is definitely in favor of both teams AND it doesn't breach the cap for either team. Pahls and Hus are simply adds to make the deal go through - both are UFA's and clearly Columbus will want to try to get a return for them instead of have them walk free.
It's unlikely they trade those guys for draft picks (because they'll be low) and they aren't getting a one-for-one deal to obtain prospects. The leafs are in a better position to trade guys for picks, so a guy like Armstrong can be had for a 3rd rounder to a team that's looking for a bit more muscle (maybe STL? or PIT?) dunno....
Burke can sign Hus to a small contract for two years, no big deal. Pahlsson can probably be had for REAL cheap as a 3rd line center or just let go (his addition is to obtain Carter).
The conditional 1st would be that the leafs make the conference semi-finals.

Thoughts?

- A_Tree

I like it for the Leafs, except for 1 thing, with Carter's big cap hit I would NEVER give up a 1st pick, that would be my only deal breaker. Take out the first pick & it gets done.
