Flu - coffee junkie
Yes, it has been reported that he has SGS. Also know as Simone Gagne Syndrome.
I would be wise to try and move him as the next few years of his contract are going to be costly and unproductive in my opinion. |

Danny Briere and Tom Sestito - to injuries. Briere appeared to injure his shoulder as he was knocked into the boards by Patrick Kaleta in the first period. Sestito may have injured his hand in a second-period fight with Zack Kassian. Briere and Sestito joined James van Riemsdyk, Chris Pronger, Jaromir Jagr, Andrej Meszaros, and Blair Betts on the injured or ill list.
van Riemsdyk, who hasn't played since Jan. 12 because of a concussion, is "getting close" according to Holmgren. "It's hard to put a timeframe on it just because of the injury he has. It just comes down to how James is feeling." - Philadelphia Inquirer/Daily News
hand, groin...........close enough - nastyflyergirl
At the time, we thought he'd broken his hand. Then they came out after the game and said LBI.

Awesome! Good luck on your search brother!
Same old with me, I actually got called last night on a report a woman was attacked by some sort of bird of prey. She claimed a hawk swooped down out of a tree and attacked her. Just unreal sometimes... - PLindbergh31

Sorry if this was already talked about but why do all the beat guys think Sestito went out w/a hand injury? To me it was clear that as twisted down to the ice at the end of the fight he landed awkwardly on his lower half. Looked like knee or a groin to me. - flyguy12
From my angle (which is not their angle) he landed hard on his hand in an awkward position and came up grabbing the hand until he stood. But from their angle I have no idea why they'd think though. Unless they are all following me on twitter. |

On an aside but related: I personally don't buy the argument that the PHX system made Bryz a rich man. Bryz has struggled in all aspects of his game (rebound control, moving laterally, tracking the puck) and especially on the PK which PHX doesn't have the magic receipt for. His 5-5 has been worse and that is where the "system" theory would play in and I think it has. But it has not been the one and only reason. It is just an off year for the big guy. Plain and simple in my mind. - coffee junkie
I agree as Bryz did not look lost in the woods in Phoenix. There has been so much pressure put on him that I think it has taken a toll mentally for him. I think he will be fine but the true benefit of signing him may not come until next year when he settles in and has something to prove. That being said he is a goalie and they all have issues and can fall off the face of the earth or rebound nicely. Signing him to 9 years was just as dumb as the Isles doing RDP for life. |

No way Kubina fetches a 1st. Would probably have to be the 2nd we received from Florida though. |

I'd trade the conditional 2nd and Holmstrom or some other forward prospect.
Kubina's shot on the PP would be a nice addition. He's got size too. |

Throw in Roloson as insurance and you have a deal. Try and get Kubina signed for one to two years as long term he become complacent. Short term he really helps the Flyers. IMO |

I want absolutely nothing to do with Roloson. I don't know why Stevie Y would trade him.
For an expiring contract like Kubina, a back up goalie, a pick, and two bottom pairing dmen is more then enough, |

Danny will retire a Flyer.
I understand your thinking but the conversation would go like this...
Homer "Briere is available"
other GM " we will take him, with a throw in"
Homer "OK, who else"
other GM " throw in Giroux and you have a deal"
no other way to get rid of that contract |

Roloson's salary is done in two months, the cost would be nil. He has the ability to be a playoff monster. He will cost next to nothing and is available. He likely retires after this year but having him if the other two crap the bed would not be all bad. In fact it might just wake Bryz up. |

You are right Marc but I fear that Danny is really heading for a downhill spiral. I sure hope he can bounce back like he did when hooked up with Leino and Hartnell. Sure funny how Leino and Briere clicked and now are lost without each other. Danny seems to be getting killed out their lately.
Sure hope the flyers remain patient with Voracek. He is fruatrating at times but if he ever grows a pair and becomes more consistent he could be a top scorer and a perfect addition for Roo once Jagr is gone. |

Bob could fetch a heck of a lot more than Kubina. Something like Kubina, Roloson and a first for Bob is just barely enough for Bob in my mind. I really like Bob and until Bryz proves he is the man I do not trade Bob. |
