Good for him. And Tim laughing about it just goes to show how seriously he takes his job.

Here you are sir.

Sarah Beaker nailed it here...
Here at CSNPhilly.com, we may not be professional, but we're definitely a team. We've got a tight-knit collection of players that, without whom, none of what you watch, read or see here would be possible. And like a pro team, we've definitely got a healthy dose of character -- and a lot of it comes from Flyers insider Tim Panaccio. |

Plind posted it for us. I hate that maniacal laugh he has going on the whole time. I bet Lava wanted to just punch him in his throat. |

I don't agree with that. - Boyer83
Richards came into the league and played with a distinct style that made the fans love him. He was mean, threw huge hits, played his heart out every shift.. And he did that up until about 2 seasons ago. He seemed to become deflated. I was the biggest Richie fan. Hell I still think he is a heck of a player, but anyone who hasnt noticed a distinct change in him as a player isnt being honest with themselves.
***ALL MY OPINION*** |

Thanks.
Until Laviolette said, "Seriously", you might take it all as him playing along. But he got his thoughts across. - tangent_man
Definitely. You can just tell how much disdain Laviolette has for the local beat guys. When he does an interview on NBC, or another outlet you can see how different his demeanor is. |

REALLY!?!? Mike Richards??? I haven't watched one Kings game all year, but that does not sound like him. That was my home boy. I couldn't imagine him playing without heart. - Boyer83
i actually watched the kings game Richards got rocked by Hanzal.... same Hanzal that hit Prongs... But Richie was caught off guard went and tried to fight him but he couldnt do anything since hanzal is a giant..... that teams got talent but cant score unreal |

I don't mean to center anyone out but there has been a lot of bad offers on this board as of late. This team isn't going to be much different after the deadline then what it was before. Getting another forward would be a bonus if we can pull it off without hurting the next step of this team (draft picks, high prospects and current roster players) but we don't NEED another forward. We needed help on D and we got it. Our goaltending hasn't been perfect but we don't NEED a goalie either. If the deal makes sense, make it. Don't deal just to deal. - roenick97
Exactly. I usually don't mind the trade offers, but put some thought into it at least. It isn't fantasy hockey. There are contracts, salaries, picks, and most of all another team that has this guy called a GM, who if he makes enough bad trades and signings, he gets fired... thus causing his life to be miserable as his family panics. I'm sure most teams would LIKE another defenseman and would LIKE a nice checking line and would LIKE those guys to be the best at their respective roles. I'd LIKE to actually play for the Flyers and be a multi millionaire, but it ain't gonna happen. Just sit back and enjoy Grossman and whatever else may roll our way. |

REALLY!?!? Mike Richards??? I haven't watched one Kings game all year, but that does not sound like him. That was my home boy. I couldn't imagine him playing without heart. - Boyer83
In my opinion Mike Richards was a different player after his 2 last and biggest hits on David Booth and David Krejci. To further my example, Richards didn't really show up in his last post season as a Flyer and didn't so much against the Black Hawks in the 2010 Stanley Cup Final. It's funny because Richards really was a beat against the Devils and Bruins in 2010. He played well again the Habs in 2010 but who couldn't. We mopped the floor with them.
In Richards 3rd season as a Flyer (His breakout season) the difference between him and Briere to me was, Briere has natural skill and Richards had a natural will to win. In my opinion Briere is a more skilled player then Richards but because Richards was a heart and soul guy, he willed his way to win. He just found away. If he doesn't have that type of character anymore, his best years will be begin him.
All those shorthanded goals. Those were from a kid who did what it took to win. |
