Dude get off it already! In everyday life you don't play the hardest position in sports. You're frustrated I get it, guess what So am I. Do qb's ever get benched? Do cy young pitchers ever get relieved in the 2nd? And do vezina goalies get pulled? Yes to all questions. Does that mean they suck, are washed up, and underserving of a contract? - JoeRussomanno
Hmmmm... In every day life folks put their lives on the line for a hell of a lot less than 10 million a year. I should know, I'm one of them. But we'll just go ahead and disagree.
Any way you slice it, Bryzgalov has failed epically at keeping the puck out of the net. He's the laughing stock of the NHL at this point. |

No question he has alot of pressure. He was signed to be the man. His goaltending skills and abilitiy were suppose to solve the issues in Philly. For some reason he hasnt been able to be the Bryz from Phoenix. Hopefully he can turn the corner and get it right. I dont want to count him out when he hasnt finished a year on his contract yet. - stveshdy
I heard the kubina trade is pending.. But any idea what picks we gave up? Please don't be the 1st and 2nd.. |

I just can't get over the fact people don't realize sometimes a goalie has a bad year! Bryz is not the first goalie in a big contract to struggle. I see all these guys wanting a miller trade! omg like he's having just a knockout year!
Stop being so damn inpatient people. |

Yes he's like night and day. He was like that in phoenix too. He's also played well at times here more often than not too. Oh and I don't give a flying poop what Clement said. That Bobrovsky goal where it went in off his skate was almost bad as leighton in SCF's so puhlease! - JoeRussomanno
you right
they were both bad today!
and Clement's a god dude he's never wrong |

When does Jeff Reese start to answer questions. Boosh and Bob weren't very good last year. This year hasn't been great, the only guy who actually improved was Leighton. Not saying he is the whole problem, but the goalies aren't performing under his watch.

How about we give the guy a little time? Like, one full season? He may not be able to take the pressure now, but its not a given that he cannot ever, period. I would really like us to stick with a plan for a few years for a change.
They signed JVR to a 6 yr deal on the basis of 10 playoff games. It stands to reason that his name would figure prominently in trade talks a few months later. |

Its interesting watching all this Nash hysteria going on here.
I guess I didn't know that Nash could play goal! Maybe that's what Columbus has been doing wrong all these years, they have their franchise goalie horribly miscast as a power forward! |

No more goalies!!!! Unless it's mike quick. Other than that, just say it's Kalinski to blah blah blah for future considerations right now!!! - Deasr1

Yea I was one too, now retired, but u and I know that guys even in that field have days where they could end up fired in a heartbeat as well and they are still working. Geez I just read today about two PBA officials caught stealing money. They'll probably end up coming out of this clean as a whistle though but thats got nothing to do with this. The L/e field and professional sports are two different animals and we both know that. As for him being a laughing stock, so what? Hartnell and Briere are two living examples of how a player can turn it around here after a bad season. Stop acting like a guy can't bounceback from a bad performance. |

What concerns me is a goalie puts on the Flyers' sweater and all of the sudden can't play goal. A guy McDonald really an average goalie can go to Detroit and look like Howard. I just don't get it, some times I just wonder is Reese all that and a bag of chips.

Just a little humor, no reason to take offense.
I just find it amusing so many of you are obsessing about these Nash rumors when it doesn't help address their obvious issue. |
