I meant terrible in general. Any Islander fan would obviously take that deal in a heartbeat.
Jurcina may be, at best, worth a 4th round pick. While Poulin is a great prospect, they already have a very good young goaltender in Pavelec. The 1st round pick is all well and good, and the 4th is essentially nothing, but they'd be giving up their 2 best roster players. Both of whom are young and have plenty of NHL years ahead of them. To think that they'd trade those two and then throw in a 3rd round pick is just insane. - eichiefs9
I know...just pulling your leg Do you really think you can a 4th rd pick for Jurcina...his +/- is awful... |

Wow Yzerman trades Downie to COL for Quincey straight up, and now apparently is flipping Quincey to DET for a 1st rounder. |

If this is the case then the isles deserve their fate. Capuano even said last night during the post game interview that this roster needs a shake up. Im sure we all thought that meant bringing up Haley and Ulstrom........but knowing how this team is, they will keep things status quo. After all, im sure they saw some positives from the drubbing yesterday |

Staple did say earlier that it was too quick of a turnaround between the Isles and Bridgeport both playing yesterday to bring anyone in, if that was the case. For whatever that's worth. He said if there were any changes look for them to be made for the Friday game against the Rags. |

I agree in regards to Moulson. He is very one dimensional and yesterday he was not busting it or going after the lose pucks or anything. He is pretty slow from what I can see. Grabner is aggravating I guess he was just a flash in the pan and maybe we should trade him now before teams realize this. There was a reason so many teams dumped him and he had one good season so we reward him witha huge contract. There you go Wang and Snow - kasperrko
I heard Moulson was playing sick.....

Yeahhh?? I dont buy that........we're talking about an hour flight to buffalo. Its a so called professional organization.........its not a travel hockey club. If both goaltenders were suddenly injured during that day game, you can rest assured they would find a flight to buffalo.

Im really surprised at all the negative comments for the guy who's scored 30 goals for basically 3 seasons. The guy goes to the net night in and night out. The problem with the isles is not Matt Moulson. The problem is that the entire forward roster, (minus Matt Martin) are soft. NOONE plays the body. There are too many players that are "finesse", yet not talented enough to rely on just being finesse. If you wanna chirp Moulson, then add, Okposo, Grabner, Frans, Bailey, PA, and basically every other forward. Im sorry but I dont share the same disdain for Moulson..........to me he is def not the problem here. |

dont get me wrong, he is FAR from the #1 guy on my poop list, but at the same time, he needs to step up and check every once in a while. im just saying the guy shouldnt get a pass from the fans either....and yes, if a SOLID offer came in for the guy, id be forced to listen. |

EVERYONE NEEDS to play the body, but Moulson scores most of his goals in front of the net. The guy takes crosschecks and gets mugged in that dirty area. To me, a guy like Kyle Okposo, the self proclaimed power forward, is more guilty. At least moulson has the goals 3 seasons in a row.
We all know this team is too soft, but I blame Snow. He is the one who has put together this roster. Anyone who watched the isles last year saw the difference after that Penguin game. The isles took all three heart and soul players and removed them from the roster. Noone can explain why Michael Haley is not in the lineup. Its not like Pandolfo, or Reasoner have more offensive upside.........and Haley brings a physical presence.

Not sure if he's just speculating, or relaying what he's heard from a source, but:
Chris Botta @ChrisBottaNHL
Nabokov will get his $ (2-3 mill per), but needs to know if DiPietro is still in Wang's plans to get NHL starts while rehabbing. - UIF
The answer to Nabby should be: "We are cutting RDP at the end of the year regardless of whether you re-sign or not, so he will be a non-factor for all of us come next season." |

I really expected not just a line up change but a trade today... there must be some kind of a trade to be made...nothing will happen then we will see a young d-man with size go to another team for a 2nd round pick.... and then all say...hey, why didn't we do that!!! |

Dont expect any trade of substance to occur until we have a new building. If anything, you will see something extremely minor but I doubt you/any of us will be content with it. |
