Couple demotions and they could have around 1.5 to like 2 I think. Probably keep it for call ups due to injury and such. I mean, aren't we out of 2nd round picks now? Homer's pockets should be cooling off.

Im not opposed to talking to LA for Bernier but you cant overpay for a goalie when you already have 51M tied up in one. I know he hasnt hit expectations this season but you cant write off a player when he hasnt even finished a full season here.

The Flyers are going to have to trade Bob + (Voracek, JvR, Schenn, Couturier) in order to get Bernier (and other pieces). Anyway the Flyers slice it they still have Bryzgalov and need to play him. He hasnt been the top tier goalie we expected but were basing this season like he will never be good again. Im just confused on what were looking for.

I think this yr may be a washout, but other plyrs have been able to recover and make the deal worth it. I would trade jake and bob for Bernier, however.

I would make that deal also. Jake and Bob for Bernier but I dont think the Kings will make that deal. Voracek isnt a pure goal scorer who is going to lift them. They need someone who can put the puck in the net and thats why I think they ask for JVR.

my kids listen to a lot of the old school stuff, they love Zepplin, Pink Floyd, etc.

took them to see the Allman brothers, (current version with Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks) they loved that too.

I thank my dad for my musical taste.. Big Allman bro. fan, grew up listening to bands like Little Feat, Zeppelin, Stones, Cream, The Doors, Genesis, Pink Floyd, the Who, Queen, Jefferson Airplane, Traffic, etc.
Allman and Little Feat were his favorites, and its rubbed of on me.

What are the latest rumors? Our Defense is fixed... so are we getting a star forward..ie Nash or Ryan. Or are we going after checking forwards like Gaustad or Hall. Or a goalie like Nabakov or Bernier? has there been any significant rumors from reliable sources? I have been out of the loop recently.... In DC with wife and all.

All that stuff was played back when my dad listened to WMMR. That would be from about 1980 until 1990 or so. That's where I cut my teeth on music. "Get the Led Out" at 7 PM was a must-listen.

I can't see ANOTHER goalie coming in here this season. I really think Bryzgalov will be fine once he gets over himself and this team gets past this wall most of the players have hit. Early in the season we had a lot of success because teams hadn't played all these new players and we were winning. Teams are starting to figure us out some. It's up to the coaches to make the team less predictable and the players to execute the plays drawn up. Bob will be a very good goalie when he hits his prime in 6 years. Do I know for certain? No. But I like what I see from him. Bryz is getting used to a different system. Different players. It takes time. His first year in a "hockey city" like Philly must be ridiculously overwhelming. He needs to settle in and time with his team. If Pronger were here, I can almost say with certainty that this season would be a little bit more different. But it is what it is. Is Bryz nutty? Oh yeah. Has he let in some of the softest goals? Oh yeah. Does he then put together some strong games after bad ones? Oh Yeah. Is he a very good goalie? Oh yeah. When this team comes together, watch out. Seriously, watch-the-f*%k out.

Excellent!

Saw them a couple years back at the Borgata, and got to talk with a few of them after the show. It was nice to shake Richie's hand before he passed.

they still have Bryzgalov and need to play him.
- stveshdy

Crazy as this sounds, imho they're not playing him enough. He had good numbers in PHX when he played 68+ games. He's on pace for 51-52 starts this year. He might be the kind of guy who needs to work a lot to stay sharp.

Agreed. PHX and Philly are 2 different systems too. He needs to get used to being a little more "hung out to dry" then he was in PHX. But, the team needs to get people out of his crease more often. And maybe not so many blind across ice passes(Giroux) or maybe lazy hooking(Jagr).

I totally agree. That is an adjustment in itself. Im not making excuses for Bryz bc its obvious he needs to play better (a three yr old could tell you that). I just dont think we (fans/media/flyers) should throw in the towel on this guy. He is a good goalie who is struggling right now to find his game. I want to win a Stanley Cup as bad as anyone but its not going to help if you rip the heart out of your goalie. Goalies are crazy, he is human, however its better to support the player than toss him under the carpet (too easy). Im not saying Bryz shouldnt have thick skin but its human nature to feel like a disappointment and have poor body language when you care and things havent gone your way. I want guys in the locker room who have my back not stab it.

Edit: I still want Bryz to make the basic saves and keep us in the games. Its a team game and he needs to do his part as well.

Spot on my friend. Plus, we have no idea what Bob wants. For all we know, he might sign an extension to stay here. He still needs a lot of work. But he is 23. I like the SOUND of bernier. Who says he doesn't come here and not live up to the HUGE potential the nation is talking about. I for one want to keep Bryz. Sign Bob to a good extension. What if Bryz gets hurt in October of next year? I woud feel a lot better having Bob being our number 1 while Bryz is recovering then having a guy who looks good in a few games against us(Nabokov) and in spot duty(Conklyn). Grass is always greener on the other side. But I think our lawn is pretty f-ing sweet.
