96 points in 97 career playoff games............59 in 57 playoff games with the flyers. - nastyflyergirl
My bad, that 97 games was his career numbers.
Better PPG in the playoffs than Clarke and Barber. |

Yep. Biggest worry is Bryzgalov righting himself, shutting off the noise in his head and getting some strong starts going. |

It is ridiculous how much hate there is for this team. Playing 6-8 rookies every night. Right in the thick of the playoff race. Its baffling. - MBFlyerfan
I like this team... And Im happy with what they got on D. But now they are asset rich, cash poor. Now they either need to get the players being paid the big money to produce like it, or they need to find a way to get rid of them, so they can afford to keep their assets. |

I wish Bryz would just channel his inner Bob Esche towards the media, I think it would help him in the long run, it's not like any of the beat reporters have thrown him a life raft at all this year.
If he continues to stink, they'll certainly still rip him. If he plays well for the next couple of games, it will be you know you can't trust him, he'll melt again soon. Granted, the Staal and Cooke goals should have been stopped. Why didn't the media rip the rest of the team for the plays that led to those rushes? |

He seemed to enjoy the media earlier in the year, 24-7 etc.
It's funny, but his numbers 2.79 .90%, are just several solid games away from getting to 2.50 .915%, not too far from having his numbers look more respectable, & among some of the other better goalers in the league |

The media smells blood/drama to sell. Read the game recaps when they have won. Byz gets mentioned late in the story, as an after thought. They lose? Bryz is front and center. |

Outside of the games against the Pens and Rangers, since the ASB, he's been really solid.
The thing is, the Pens game was a setback. It's not the end of the road, he has to rebound from it and put it in the rearview. |

He certainly has to play better, at the same time, I just think it is time to just say nothing. He has such a unique view, he just leaves himself open to be scrutinized and criticized with anything coming out of his mouth. Give him the Bob Esche scowl and move on.
I just Lava plays him against the Jets, Bob didn't play well enough on Saturday to start over him.

Despite the disaster of the Pens game, when i looked at his stats the next day & realized his numbers aren't too far from getting where they need to be.
Almost reminds me of the way Gene Hart use to describe the Rangers John Davidson, when he's on he's very good, when he's off he's really bad. |

Bryz just has too much talent to not regain form, hopefully this year. I don't believe he will be hockey's equivalent of Steve Sax or Chuck Knoblauck (probably spelled that one wrong).
It is rather funny Bryz only has the 2 shutouts the team has gotten over the last two years.

Yeah, maybe he should just shutdown the interviews & focus, I would like to see him get a little angry & pumped up more so than despondent |

Much like the team, the games people point to about his melt downs are afternoon games. I really just don't get how the team as a whole plays so poorly in the afternoon.

To get to .915 he'd need to stop 185 of the next 185 shots.
To your point, that would be several solid games. |

What the heck is all this reporter drama on twitter about? Eklund and a bunch of others talking about some kid?
An example:
Randy Miller @RandyJMiller
It's hilarilous how this kid knows pulse of dressing room & Bryz by reading quotes that myself and other people who actually cover team get |

Assuming 30 shots per game, that's six shutouts. Assuming they're all regulation shutouts his GAA would then be 2.40.
So I guess my point is that he's pretty freakin' far from having "good" numbers this season.
Really though, at this point the only stat I care about is wins and if he can start piling up those I'm happy. |

Seems he's been arguing with CrossingBroad today.
EDIT: Wow, they've really been at it. Funny, watching a beat writer and a "truth spitting" blogger go at it over who's making things up just to rip the team |
