If anyone wants to see a soft goal, check out the goal the Monster gave up in OT to the Devils. A shot that wasn't even on goal ended up in the net. The Leafs fans must be ecstatic. - PLindbergh31

This was a great win. A great win for the team to battle back after Bryz gave up that terrible 4th goal ... and a great win for Bryz to know that his team mates can bail him out after he lets in a softie. Best win of the year, by far.

Part and parcel. PK has been bad, no doubt, but the goalie is gonna have to make a save now and then as well while a man down. |

Pointless to even talk about it.
It is what it is.
I am very impressed with Simmonds, Hartnell and Giroux. - flyer_nutter
I know hey ... if we keep talking about it all that will happen is the bleeding hearts will come out of the woodwork to defend him ... I personally don't know how you can defend him ... if the Flyers had good goaltending today they win this game easily! |

With everything that happened tonight, thin is going to get over looked. Schenn had a great game in the D Zone - KINGKENZO
All the skaters played well. It's a deep lineup. Keep saying it until I'm blue in the face limit the soft goals and things will work themselves out. |

Briere was invisible 99 percent of the game but good effort there at the end paid off |

That was truly unreal. I haven't seen anything like that. Beyond pathetic. |

i thought he looked good at the other end too, he just didn't generate much. wasn't for a lack of effort. that's how i felt about jagr. a lot of good skating and hard work along the wall - it just didn't go anywhere. nice to see him get rewarded at the end, off some serious grit by briere to dig in open ice and hang on to that puck making a great feed for the goal. |

if there wasnt a SO, OT would be so much better cuz teams would be fighting to win in OT for the extra point like the Flyers were (cuz they suck in SO) than playing to get to a shoot out, or dont care if it goes to a SO. (frank)ing dumb SO |

loved jake-schenn-jvr.
gotta admit, was expecting it to take a while for jvr to get going. thought he'd do her perimeter thing but thought he was quietly very good against pitt and then more obviously so tonight. |

I really want Kubina on the point on the PP with Timonen, I want the big shot from the point, it has been missing with Pronger gone. |

The thing is, the 4th goal was tough to swallow, but after it he made a couple of good saves that were key. Building his confidence back up is going to be a brick by brick thing. He's not going to suddenly flip a switch.

bryz deserves some credit here, too. he made that fantastic glove stop on ladd off the 2 on 1 when it was 4-3. if that goes in, it's lights out. and he had another very nice right pad stop in OT on buff. |
