vintage briere - OrangeBlack27
He amped it up near the end there too.
There has been a lot of talk recently that he isnt worth his contract.
In the clutch. When a team needs him most. He finds a way. Hes a dirty little bastard too. |

bryz deserves some credit here, too. he made that fantastic glove stop on ladd off the 2 on 1 when it was 4-3. if that goes in, it's lights out. and he had another very nice right pad stop in OT on buff. - hammarby31
Oh stop it.

All the skaters played well. It's a deep lineup. Keep saying it until I'm blue in the face limit the soft goals and things will work themselves out. - PLindbergh31
Man oh man was that a great game. Flyers played well and really outchanced the Jets. Have to get better on the PK. That last goal Bryz gave up was bad and for them to come back and win is huge for the guy. |

win as a team, lose as a team, at the end of the game it sure seems like all the guys were sharing in the glory of the victory, not shunning the goalie. |

if there wasnt a SO, OT would be so much better cuz teams would be fighting to win in OT for the extra point like the Flyers were (cuz they suck in SO) than playing to get to a shoot out, or dont care if it goes to a SO. (frank)ing dumb SO - dillpx183
winnipeg was playing for the SO. they deserved to lose. |

he didn't have a good game. but he made 2 great stops with the game on the line to keep it at 1 and to keep it tied. hopefully he builds on that. i doubt it. but maybe he does? |

They deserved two points. They completely outplayed the Jets. Pavelec stole the Jets a point, and if it wasn't for heroics from JVR, Simmonds, Briere and Jagr he would have stole 2 points. |

Simmonds was so pumped after Jagr scored. Homer better not even think about trading him. Should be our Captain - Richieattack18
No way Holmer trades Simmonds. Dude has been on a tear for February. He is everything they have missed (aside from what Hartnell brings) as far as a net presence since Knuble left. |

yeah, that was good to see. And you could see the relief on Bryz's face knowing he wasn't the scapegoat again.

He does it to himself though ... too many weak goals allowed. Unfortunately they overshadow the good stuff. |

definitely. I haven't ready any Simmonds rumors, but no way Homer trades him. If anything Homer might be looking for another Simonds-esque forward. |

Schenn had a really solid game
Has been improving since the All Star game now that he is healthy.
Had a hell of a lot of nice defensive plays. Uses his body. Really liking the kid |

Unfortunately, he will be a scapegoat for the rest of the year whether they win or lose. Even if he pitches a shut out, he will be graded how difficult the opposition's chances were, if they weren't very difficult, it really wasn't a "good shut out".

It's obviously very early, but the way things look right now, there is a good chance Simmonds might be the better player than Richards going forward. I'm not sure if the L.A. system is hamstringing Richards or what, be he looks like a shell of what he was.
1 goal in his last 25 games. |

Absolutely. It's gotta be a MAJOR confidence booster for him to see these guys rally around him.
