agreed, the less surprises the more comfort bryz will have gettin into a routine down the stretch which will hopefully help him ride the wave that is the scp - Flyers4Life88
He's used to starting 65+ a season. |

it's too bad lappy and betts are both done. those are the kinds of players this team really needs right now. - hammarby31
guys like betts are out there so it's just a matter of whether we want a guy like hall at the low end of the spectrum or goose at the higher end. |

Corey Crawford was ice cold during a 9 game losing streak, he's stopped 115 of the last 120 shots he's faced. He's gotten red hot. Hopefully Bryzgalov can do the same. Things can turn around. |

If they do make a move for a checking line center, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the odd man out for a few games. - Jsaquella
Pk gave up 3, kubina played 20 min in his first game wit a new team, grossman played 16, both these guys will continue to eat minutes...i love it |

It's got to be Bryzgalov. Let him play the lions share of the games. Spot Bobrovsky in back to back games, and against lesser teams. - PLindbergh31
I have a weird feeling that Lavi plays Bob against Edmonton. Though I believe Bryz should be in against Edmonton, Calgary and San Jose because he is very familiar with all three playing in the West all this time.
I hope I am wrong about Lavi.

You have to keep playing him. Thats the way out of it. Put him in the net. |

is it me or does corey crawfords pads and jersey look incredibly large... wonder if he went to a larger size after the losing streak - dillpx183
it's not you. i've always thought that about his pads. just something about those reeboks that seem puffy and stiff. his also seem a bit high in the thigh rise too. |

Who knows with the way Laviolette handles the goalies. There are no back to backs on this road trip, so Bryzgalov can play every game, but I suspect Bobrovsky will get worked in somewhere. Perhaps in Edmonton. |

Essentially, all the rookies except Schenn (who already had a lengthy 'rest period' this season) have hit the wall to a degree.
Out of all of them though, Read seems like he is still making a difference out there even though his scoring has tailed off. He's still getting a few chances a game, and hustling his ass off. He even dropped the gloves tonight.
Couturier on the other hand seems a little like a deer in the headlights now, like he can't keep up with the game at times. Now that we're healthy, a view from the pressbox for a game or two might help him refocus. - BringBack25
I think coots should be spotted the rest of the way until he breaks thru. it'll be best for all concerned because we prob need a vet PKer and of course, there will be injuries. |

At this point - what other choice do they have? I agree - ride him out - Bob's our backup and Bryz is our playoff goalie. Fingers crossed Bryz can get his $hit together during the playoffs... we REALLY need him to. |

I think that now you have to ride Bryz. Save Bob for back to backs and the occasional spot start. |

Both Kubina and Grossman showed what they bring to the table. The PK struggled, but overall the team defense has been getting better. Those guys will really help out after a few more games-especially since they're on a road swing....forced chemistry |

I think Lava knows he has to play Bryz the majority of the games. Bob just isn't ready to handle the load, Bryz has at least shown the ability with Phoenix to be the #1.
Let Grossman and Kubina used to their new teammates and pick-up a grizzled vet to play the 4th line and help the PK, a John Madden type would be ideal.

For Bryzgalov to get to 60 starts he will have to start 21 of the next 23 games. That isn't happening. |

Honestly, I'm not worried about Bryz ... because I think he'll have more confidence and play a lot better just as soon as the 5 guys in front of him get their collectives heads out of their butts and remember how to cover their man. |
