Aaron, what do you suppose the lines will look like once Mueller and Galiardi get back? Also, who do you send down when they get back (Porter and??) - CincyAvsFan
Porter and Kobasew hit the WAIVER wire and get picked up!!! (Hopefully not really.. btw)
My guess unfortunately is that one of Cody Mac or Porter hit it though.. 4th line is Kobasew - McC - Winnik until Galiardi returns then maybe I will get my wish. |

What about Galli with Stasny and Hejduk with Raydar...i think that frees up the snipers (Jones, Mueller and Hejduk) a bit more. Playmaking center/sniper/grity 2 way checkers on 3 lines. |

What about Olver.. I think he needs more time with Radar and Landy. (I am a serious Subasew hater though) |

I just say that because these are combinations that have worked before. Stastny hejduk jones has been one of the lines where all 3 players were really effective.
And you could leave up oliver for a bit longer and knock down Kobesew |

Or anything else, sadly we would need to bring back the same cap hit as its not really possible to get any closer to the cap floor |

Actually one of the people on MHH looked at cap geek and somehow we have like 3M worth of wiggle room. (have no idea how that is possible) Could totally put him through waivers. |

Cap geek always seems a bit off to me and no one would pick him up on waivers |

To date we have had an average salary cap payroll of 49.6 M, with about a quarter of the season left we can go down to about 44.4 M for the rest of the year to keep our average cap payroll at 48.3.
Right now we are at 49.15 M after the acquisition of Downie, so we can still unload 4.75 M and keep our average payroll above 48.3. |

Actually I think 49.15 is our projected average payroll, I think our current payroll is more like 48 M. Not sure exactly though, every site has a different number and they don't exactly clarify what they mean. But anyway we should be able to unload at least 3M and still be fine. |

Love the trade, i actually considered it myself.. straight swap.. lose some salary.. gain that grit and edge.. seriously where the hell was quincey when the team was listless and lacked emotion or energy?
For the uneducated out there, Quincey was not going to fetch a star player or be packaged for one. He was a fringe top 4 (on his good days) and maybe a bottom pairing on his bad |

Hopefully the avs make a push for Suter now. They have tons of room under the cap, even with giving healthy raises to all their RFAs. We saved some cap space with this move, and gave ourselves an opening to add Suter.
Good move. |

DP is reporting the dutch radar lando line will remain intact for the la game, consequently lines should look something like this:
9 37 92
54 26 23
40 16 27 (hilarious that downie took quinceys number)
17 7 34
Scratch 55 12
IR 88 39 (but both should back for det)
6 5
8 3
44 46
Scratch 22
1
35
Upon the return of 88 and 39 I'm hoping for:
92 37 40
88 9 27
54 26 23
39 16 34
Or if dutch finds chemistry with radar and lando:
9 37 92
88 26 23
54 16 27
34 39 40 |
