pretty sure they cant pick what people cover the team - Crimsoninja
After what happened last season, and now..
They are basically trying to create drama in the locker-room. They cant pick who covers the team, but does it say somewhere they have to let people interview their players?
The media thinks it has a god given right to do so. I would challenge that.

League rules re credentialed media availability. - bodiva88
It depends. PHWA members have to be credentialed by teams, barring some sort of egregious violation that could get it revoked. The rest is up to the teams as to whom they do and do not credential. The Flyers have always had a very generous policy during the regular season (a little less so during the playoffs, depending on the outlet).
Credentials for all league-run events (All-Star Game, Stanley Cup Finals, Entry Draft) are the decision of the NHL.

Here is the link to my article on the Tomas Demel scare in the Czech Extraliga last Friday. Kind of puts a little perspective on how silly some of the things we obsessively worry about in hockey ultimately are.

This may be way Leight as I heard it yesterday.
But it was very upsetting so forgive me if its already been talked about.
Al Morganti was on the XM radio NHL show and Boomer Gordon asked him, jokingly,
if there was a day that went by that didn't have a JVR being traded rumor.
Morganti replied that he seriously believed that JVR will be traded, if not now then certainly in the off season.
His reasoning was that the rookies have played so much better then expected, making JVR somehow expendable.
It really made me ill thinking about it, as Morganti seems to be somewhat in the know on these things.
JVR is a guy who can alter the game when he is on. Like Giroux.
And we all saw how G can have cold streaks.
JVR is the perfect player to carry the team (in the future) when Giroux has one of these cold streaks.
I hate the thought they have given up on him and that he will be traded. - Marc D
And he swore the flyers were going to get Stamkos and he swears nowthe Flyers are after Nash
im not sure i agree with this really.. people will always have opinions but i do think Lisa does bring a point up... Bryz rarely talks about the team as a whole.. i just hope this team doesnt get tired of his act
