Well gents, what a game. I thought Bryz made some really good saves at the end. I liked our energy. We weren't going into SO. Real good determination. |

I took it to mean: Homgren sucks, Bryz is a clown and Bob should be playing in the ECHL. - ggunky

I would really like to see the Flyers pick up some defensive players for a checking line and PK. I just dont know how you make room for them, roster wise or cap wise... I mean I cant justify scratching Read, Couturier, or Schenn. Rinaldo, ok but really... How do you do it.
One thing is for certain... They need to fix thier PK. It is just aweful lately. |

B.Schenn for goalie... Amazing kick save, followed by stacking the pads, sliding across the net... That was just awesome... I had to wonder if he ever played goalie at any level, or it was just natural instinct. Anyway, this kid is a gamer. |

I agree. That was a fun game to watch. I was screaming my head off. Bryz only let in one questionable goal and was solid in OT. |

I really enjoyed watching Kubina and Grossman. Once again we have 6, top 4 d-men. Our defense is good, now we just need our forwards to play somewhat responcible and the goals against will drop big time. |

My only real issue with the goaltending last night was the 4th goal scored by the Jets. Looked like Bryz turned his head (like he was scared) and just missed with hits glove (I believe). He didnt play great but he made some nice stops after that goal and allowed the Flyers to make that late run. They won the game but can you imagine if they didnt. Hopefully he will get better as we go along here. |

They are the flyers two best dmen in the corners. I questioned the kubina trade but if this is what he brings consistently I will eat the crow |

I promise that they will also be on the ice for a few more goals against before the season and playoffs are over.
I think Lidstrom has been on the ice for a few goals against in his career, also.
It happens. - ggunky

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings: 2/22/12 - bmeltzer
Great recap Bill.
Bryz's forth goal was a tough one to give up. I'm glad it wasn't the difference last night and the team was able to tie it up late and prevail in OT. He made a nice stop in OT not long before the winner by Jagr.
A game like last nights where you grab victory from the jaws of defeat I hope really propels this team going forward. With the Oilers coming up, a non playoff team it would be nice to get a win and a solid all around win at that.
3-0-1 is what I'm hoping for on this trip here. Get this thing straightened out and getter done. |

I liked the corner battles, I like his pinching... He has a nice shot, and hit the net, and he had some nice passes... He might be a little slow, and they both might give the puck over a little, but I will take the bad with the good. I cant wait to see his passes once he develops some chemistry with the team... He was on last night.. |

yep. sounds like we were writing the same thing at the same time - FlyersFirst
yep...don't get me wrong when Bryz or Bob or Boosh...etc... let's in a bad goal or any goal, I might curse or say something negative but I'm always rooting for my team to bounce back.
I really enjoy watching the team rally around Bryz right now. The pad taps etc... The 4th, he just flat out missed but the team rallied and that's what good teams do...they keep plugging away.
I also don't like how the meda uses one quote and just destroys it...use the whole dam conversation so the mainstream fans know the context of what was said. |

My first thought was about a goal i scored a few games ago. I flubbed a shot that caught the goalie off guard.. the puck was rolling to me and a tried to fire a one timer but it knuckled and beat him between the glove and head. put your right hand on top of you head and then lean your head towards your right shoulder.. that space is where the puck went. Later on the goalie was busting my balls because of the ugly shot told me the only reason it went in was because he had no clue how fast it was or where it was gonna end up..
I have a feeling the same thing happened to Bryz. Regardless I would have hoped to see him make that save in a crucial spot. |

So if JVR was faking his concussion to not get traded, what do we call that performance? - jd342
jvr was beastly last night, didnt realize how fast he is when he gets a moving, he had some nice behind the net moves also. |
