I think this is KEY. We have guys trying to stick check on the PK instead of guys like Lappy, Betts, and Richards that layed out in front of shots. - RooNosHockey
Honestly I'm ok with guys not laying out in the regular season. Just make it to the dance |

Since its being reported we are out of it, we will probably end up with him lol. Columbus should look into a 3 way deal, they may get more that way than trying to clean out one team's assets. - funmaster18
yea i don't really think a nash deal is happening for what CLB is looking for maybe if no one offers what they want we might be able to snag him

Walker did. He's easy to forget. Like when Homer was asked about getting a RH shot on D with Kubina, he said, to paraphrase, that we really haven't had a RH defenseman since Desjardins except for a few that really weren't noteworthy. |

Funny they had such little faith in him that they made 2 trades on d rather than try him out again |

This is stupid. Leighton is not the answer and won't be playing for the flyers this year or ever again. |

Well I don't see Lava changing that system much given the personnel we have. We're not Phoenix or Nashville in that we have to play an ultra conservative game. There should be no issues with an "attacking" style of play as long as the forwards are responsible and not all down below the hash marks unless we have the puck to the crease.
It's not the quality chances that Bryz has struggled with. He's actually made some great saves on some quality chances. It's the somewhat routine stops that he's struggled with. No amount of team D or systems play can cover for those. - rockychocbill
I'm not saying to go to a trap system.. I am saying Lavi needs to tweak the system to make the forwards more responsible.
Lets take last night for example. The first 3 goals were quality goals. The Flyers really need to limit chances like those, because after those goals Bryz's confidence has to be shot... He has to be thinking am I getting pulled. What is the media going to say? etc... It make the routine stops even harder.
Do we need Bryz to make some saves on some quality chances.. Yes. But if we can limit the quality chances, then Bryz's confidence should rise, making the routine saves easier... |
