Saw the high(low?) lights of the game.
The look on Lupul's face said it all. Dude looked like wanted to jump off the bench and pummel Gus. |

nolonger...youre "considered" common law when living together for a year, but in order for the other to have "legal" rights against you etc, its 2+ years I believe. - noename09
No I believe under the Family Law act it is 3 years of continuous living together. |

I hear ya...and as BAD as its been, I dont see Burke doing anything about it. Which pisses me off. Because I think its a bigger need than a number one center.
My list as per the start of summer was
1. Vet/dependable Goalie
2. No.1 Center
3. Coach
Hasnt changed. - noename09
I'm not sold of Mason...He had a great rookie campaign and has been average or below ever since...
actually, scratch that. he'll fit in perfectly with the leafs goaltending tradition.

we are a fast, talented group...but we are also young, somewhat soft, and inexperienced. We are about 3 upgrades away from being a playoff team, and 2 years away from developing into a contender, IMO.
Ill be honest, I didnt expect TOO MUCH different for this year, but this goaltending issue has always killed me. The team struggles at times, they make mistakes and they learn as a team. But when the team battles to get you back into the game and its lost in OT from wide shot on net from the blueline....that just "Grinds my gears". - noename09
The thing about goaltending is — and nobody did this better than Grant Fuhr — timing is everything. The score doesn’t matter as much as the win does. Fuhr had this way of letting in bad goals and making the saves when the game was on the line with the great Edmonton Oilers teams |

After the way Reimer played last year I really did think he was the answer. The way that he started the season I honestly thought the Leafs were a playoff team. He hasn't been the same since he got knocked on the head. |

the only reason I know, is because my close friend almsot had a bad encounter with this and looked it up a few months ago...believe it was only 2 years of living or having children together where you had legal responsibilities. I could be wrong but I think Im right |

In section 29, there is a second definition of the word spouse that applies to Part III of the Family Law Act which deals with support obligations. Section 29 states that for the purposes of Part III, a spouse is as defined above, but also includes either of a man or woman who have "cohabited for a period of not less than three years (meaning for at least three years) or who are in a relationship of some permanence |

I expected either to just get into the playoffs, put on a bit of a show without much results but teaching the young guys to win/give them a goal OR an impact player drafted.
Looks like neither... |

This...
Mason had 1 hot rookie year and has been pretty mediocre since. Remind you of anyone?
Leafs need reliability in net. Bernier is still developing but at least he's a higher pedigree. Aside from him, should be looking at bets - Nabokov primarily.
Side note - if no trade comes, I won't be shocked to see Scrivens get a game - they have to try something...

I'm at 11 years
but hell now we're even wearing matching "bands" but still not legal!
learned something when we bought our house in November though - under property law, she's not considered a spouse... That was surprising to me, and luckily lawyer caught it or our sale agreement would have been incorrect |

After the game last night they said they wouldn't be surprised to see gus sent down.. Probably wouldn't clear waivers though.. However, you never know he is UFA at seasons end. |

Gus has a way of making huge saves when it dosnt matter all to much, a few key saves when it does matter and LET IN SOFT goals when it really matters. |
