Fuhr abused himself for years. He was a walking (skating) pharmacy, which made him not realize the pain he was in. Grant is held together with so many pins and crap now-a-days, I wonder how he'll move as a senior. - stevecarpetman
He made the saves when he had to.......... don't give a rats rectum about the rest |

Well if thats the case, I dont want Nash either. Id rather, at this point, move a few decent chips to get a solid goalie for a few solid years. When has been the last FREAKN good goalie we've had....seriously!?!
Dozzer has been saying it all season...our problem isnt scoring. Lets move Schenn + + and grab a SOLID goalie.
WHOS WITH ME!!! - noename09
Goaltending is the issue!!!!! We're getting killed by our goaltending situation. |

Where does everyone gets this "attitude problem" stamp for Kadri?
I honestly think its only that ONE time he said something that revealed that he was frustrated with being sent down and that was his draft year. Every time since then he's been completely professional about it...but everyone stares at him just waiting for him to flinch again so they can say "SEE LOOK, he's got an attitude problem"
I'd love to see videos or links to articles of him having an attitude problem. - Juice
Watch his games down with the Marlies for the past month...... lots of video evidence there

Nobody thinks we need a top 6 center, we need a top 1 center, and "theoretically" a true #1 center is supposed to be better defensively as well.
but ya, it's pretty obvious that if Reimer were playing like he did late last season the Leafs would be sitting around 4th-5th instead of teetering on 8th.

so...with that being said....is Burke too oblivious to see this and think we should desperately improve our top six...or is Burke smarter than us putting up smoke screens while he works on bringing in someone better!?

I was pretty creative when I suggested Komi + Lombardi for Carter no?? NO?! |

Makes sense, Lupul and Carter had chemistry before, add that Kessel and Lupul just kinda fit, there is a strong possibilty. If we get get Carter it will mean Grabo is most likely not re-signed. Colborne, Bozak, Carter, Steckel, Lombardi, and Connolly will all be fighting for spots. Bozak and Carter would fight for first line roll, with the other taking second. Colborne and Connolly will fight for third line unless one gets moved to the wing. Steckel is the 4th line centre unless we get a better faceoff grinder.
Moves like this might mean that Grabo and Kulemin have garnered some interest around the league. Mac, Lombardi and Connolly could possibly be moved out, but most likely after the season. You need to empty spots for Kadri, Colborne and Frattin to play. Some of the other kids may excel this summer and fight for spots on next year's team.
Youth brings it's own problems, talent enough to play in the league, but with mistakes. Affordable entry level which can explode with a couple good season. You need roster spots to play these young players in their proper roles, and that sometimes means getting rid of proven talent. (in our case lackluster performers) - stevecarpetman
The Zanzibar/Filmores/Brass Rail etc are betting on this....hence why Carter shouldn't be a Leaf now that Lups has turned a good corner.....Nash is a better "lifestyle" risk than Carter...and Kadri has to decide b/w his bong collection and NHL...otherwise, GTFO...bongs should be only for your fans to celebrate how awesome a player you are...not for you to celebrate how awesome you think you are... |

If Burke brought in a number one center and a MUCH better...not even GREAT, just better goalie...I will be one HAPPY camper!
One of the two will suffice...but both will wipe this frown from my face. |

If Toronto had a Center like Carter who is a goal scorer, the score probably would have been much different because Bozak had 2 great chances created by Lupul and Kessel and couldn't score on either. If the #1 line is not scoring we are probably losing. If you upgrade your #1 center, you upgrade your #2/#3 also at the same time.

I would donate some random amounts of money to MLSE for no apparent reason, if that were to ever happen. |

for what it's worth... Ek's got the Leafs in on 2 goalies that he "knows" about...
I would think if he wasn't looking at goalies before yesterday, he certainly will be today. That just can't happen, and the look on his face after each bad goal was pretty telling. |
