Slick move to get a first rounder for Downie. - Gunner Staal
He's made a few really intelligent moves since he's been running their team. Very impressed. |
|
|

yup..
maybe we'll start with this: matt ellis, like adam mair before him, should never, under any circumstances, skate in the top-six or be on the ice with less than five minutes remaining and the team trailing - b0s0o1
Thats on Lindy. IF you don't Like Matt Frickin Ellis skating with Vanek. Move Ruff. |

Give me a 10 minute 4-on-4 any day of the week. If no one scores give 'em both a point. - Pairo11
Damn right. For years, I watched games end in a tie and I never once thought it was that bad.
Definitely not as bad as rewarding a team for keeping a couple guys on the roster who do little else than perform well on shootouts. I am convinced that Kotalik extended his career by at least 3 years this way. |

A little bit of insider trading with Detroit though. |

They've dropped "assets" yet they seem to be playing better. No reason to think that we can't drop some expiring deals and still make the playoffs, if that's the only goal for this year. Our chances wouldn't be that much lower than they already are. (BTW - 1.3%, up from 0.8% yesterday.) - keptupl8
If the Sabres moved Gaustad and Boyes, it would be of little i mpact even if they were planning a push to teh playoffs. You can back fill those guys with Adam and anyone else in Crapchester. |

Darcy is currently sitting on top of a fence with one leg hanging over to the sell side and the other one in the buyer side....problem is that his pants are snagged on the fence and he can't break free

He does have to figure out the goaltending position though. And how long do Marty and Vinny keep it going? He has some really interesting and tough decisions in the next two or three years. |

I believe Kotalik scored 20 goals the year we shipped him out. How many 20 goal scorers do we have now? 2 How many players have 10 goals? 5? We could use a Kotalik |

3 pt reg win, 2 pt non reg win, loser point stays. By getting 3 points for reg win loser pt is ok. |

Blows my mind they still want to make a run. Take your lumps and build appropriately long term. Everything is cyclical but the Sabres never seem to go through that natural cycle. They prolong it like the Bills by just winning enough to stay in that awful middle ground. |

You can still make a run and drop players in trade. The pieces we can trade aren't key cogs to the Sabres machine. |
