miller's going no where unless he wants to...and right now he doesn't want to - b0s0o1
I can't see them moving him either.. i have always been critical of his play in relation to his contract but when the team has been down lately he really stepped up and gave them a chance to win even when they can't score a goal. As long as he can stay away from his post Lucic game type of play he will be a sabre through the rest of his contract |

What can you do about injuries? And before you go the whole 'Pittsburgh has injuries' route, no one is trying to claim this team is anything close to what the Penguins are. I did a nice long post in the last blog about this. When the Sabres roster featured 89-100% (0-2 injuries) of their opening day squad they are 17-9-2. They are where they are because of the abundance of injuries they had to key players. - Pierceme69
And their inability to overcome that adversity. Injuries drop a team from 4th to 8th, not 14th. |

other than pittsburgh...and the rags...and vancouver...and philadelphia - b0s0o1
Can't say Philly and Vancouver are thrilled with those contracts. Nashville probably won't like Rinne deal if Suter and Weber are gone. |

In a roundabout way you can. He is 31 years old, the only way this team goes into a true re-build is to trade him and that is not likely.
So yes I agree, blame the Killer........
- LamontSanford
A quality, intelligent General Manager would make this assessment and move Miller in the offseason and rebuild.
The only way this team could compete would be to bring in a top line Center, another quality #2 Center and a stay at home badass defensemen. And I just don't see this happening. |

Whats your opinion on moving Miller then trying to get Bernier ?Miller would be out with his wife and wed save in salery along with the signal this team s looking to move forward. |

Common sense would dictate that LA has zero use for a 6.25 million dollar goalie when they have a cheaper one that's better already. |

Can't do anything about injuries. Just hope there are depth players in the minors that can help keep the ship from sinking. - Gunner Staal
That's totally true, but you also can't expect rookies to come up and play top 4 D minutes and not have a drop off. If you rank Myers, Ehrhoff, Regehr and Sekera as the top 4 D on the Sabres there was a 12 game stretch where at least 2 (sometimes 3) of our top 4 were out at the same time. We were 2-8-2 in that 12 games. There's your playoffs right there. |

If not for his efforts, Nashville would no longer have a team.

In NHL 12 I traded Stafford and Roy to Detroit for Zetterberg and won the cup. |

maybe they could have expected the forwards to pick up the slack...you know, the vaunted core? |
