That's where he belongs. Dale was a disgrace to hockey. The fact that his number is retired in Washington just goes to show how pathetic and inept of an organization they've been for over three decades. - LordStanley88
I am not sure what to make of this as I hope it's simply a joke. |

Anything is possible. I dont know any player that would be "happy" being traded to Columbus. |

Not opposed to Ott. What would it take to get him is the question. - PLindbergh31
They can have Rinaldo.
EDIT
I'm not sure we NEED Ott because he seems like a tougher Talbot who takes more penalties. |

Every person is different. I would still like to make money but have the chance to compete for a title. Being traded to Columbus gives me only one of those options. |

Flyers aren't getting Gaustad for Rinaldo, Gustafsson, Harry Z, or anything like that.
What if Buffalo wants Matt Read for Guastad? Would you be willing to give him up? I wouldn't. Too much value comes with his contract. |

According to Nick Kypreos, the Flyers are kicking tires on Steve Ott - Jsaquella
They just want to get him here so Lavy can bag skate him at every practice. Oh, and to guard the tunnel to the Flyers dressing room.

I list Gaustad in the same category as Ott. Not worth the price for minimal minutes. You have to overpay for a player that isnt in your top nine. Ill pass. |

Yes, you guys are right. Was basically thinking out loud. I mean, if we are going juts fantasy route, would LOVE to add stephen Weiss, but our team is good. Just thinking faceoffs and pking. |

I think Ott is one of those guys that when he's on your team, you love him. He's one of the elite trash talkers in the game. His comments to Cote several years ago are still one of the funniest things I've ever heard during a hockey game.
He's also great at faceoffs. But I would think the asking price for him would be about the same as Buffalo wants for Gaustad. Both probably a little too rich for our blood right now. |

Probably nothing to that dynamic. Ott understands that Laviolette was just defending his superstar, and that will be part of Steve's job should he become a Flyer. - LordStanley88
Would love Ott in Philly (for the right price that is). He's a much better and more versatile version of Rinaldo. He does not have any of Avery's baggage, either -- solid teammate, well-liked in the room.
The Laviolette-Ott exchange was much ado over nothing. |

You would think that Columbus would want Bernier in any deal for Carter. |

I think Bernier will ultimately be in the deal, and possibly as the center piece. |
