I couldn't confirm or deny but I know he's a regular PK guy for the Dallas Stars. If they continue to use him in that area, he has to be pretty good. Simmonds can be used on the PK but obviously we have plenty of players who can do better in that area.

I think Ott is one of those guys that when he's on your team, you love him. He's one of the elite trash talkers in the game. His comments to Cote several years ago are still one of the funniest things I've ever heard during a hockey game.
He's also great at faceoffs. But I would think the asking price for him would be about the same as Buffalo wants for Gaustad. Both probably a little too rich for our blood right now.

Agreed. Columbus actually has several good defenseman- Winsiewski, Nikitin, Tyutin, etc. You'd think they would've preferred to get Bernier in return rather than JJ, but I suppose it's their loss.
