I'd be happy to help you at 8 tomorrow morning.
or
Stop by at 7 tonight and I'll see what I can do to walk you through it.
I am in that boat right now with a change in group/boss/responsibilities. I kept all I was doing, took from the old boss whose purview no longer contains those items, and do not have support of a boss who has not been hired yet. But at least I'm free to outsource and once I have the relationships with those freelancers and vendors clarified I'll be back to 40. - bodiva88
"I'd be happy to help you at 8 tomorrow morning."
yeah they waltz in at 9:30 or later
"Stop by at 7 tonight and I'll see what I can do to walk you through it."
would have to be 11, but then again, by 6:30 they are gone.
I know, just ranting, your suggestions are great

"I've got an appointment to run out to in about fifteen minutes, so we have to make this quick"
Make sure to check your watch a few times in that span - BulliesPhan87
let's order lunch and have them pay, do it in the office and rush them through it. chew loudly |

Also what pisses me off, is that instead of researching/figuring stuff our, everything needs to be handed on the silver (frank)ing platter
Ok, at least I will enjoy the start of the game tonight even if stuck here late. |

That's the point. They'll find another solution if it means they have to show up.
I work 10-7 when things are normal. When I got my just lost good boss he asked me if I'd consider moving to 8 to 5. I simply said, "No."
I know if I worked 8 to 5 I'd be here til 8 or later anyway. I'd rather get enough sleep to do whatever I need to.
On Flyers home games I leave at 6:30. It's not like they aren't getting extra hours the other days of the week. 60 hours is max and unusual though. Productivity really dives after you hit 12 hours in a day. |

The worst boss ever was the one who never said no to anything, but then left at 5 to pick up her son (even though her husband worked from home), leaving me and my team to clean up after her. It took threatening to leave to end that little joy. |

I don't know either of them. Thank God. - Flyskippy
Kowal has been around for awhile now. Interestingly enough, he's never worked a playoff series (even in the first round) since being brought up to the NHL around 2000. I'm not as familiar with Kozari but he (and Kowal) seem to work primarily games out west. |

I thought he had a decent game, all things considered. He looked good on the power play, made a few good passes. Lack of speed was evident once or twice and he had a turnover or two, but recovered.

You know when you are spending too much time at work when you leave at 5:30 (starting at 7) and it feels like playing hooky... |

No two game winning streaks in the last 6 weeks. Good lord.
A span of 17 games without consecutive wins. How the hell is that even possible? - PLindbergh31

When I managed mutual fund reporting we'd go 14 hours until we finally realized it was counterproductive. We established a 12-hour rule and it was hard at first to feel justified. But it was effective, so... Back then we got meal money after 10 hours and car service home. But not any more. Things have changed. |

yeah in sw development it is pretty much a rule to introduce new requirements/features one week before the "go live" date
so....
edit: at least we get free food/drinks (no beer ) |
