Dont know that Subban is what Edmonton needs. Talented without a doubt, but ionno. The Dustin Brown rumor intrigues me a lot more. |

Rather keep the pick than trade for Subban. IMO Subban is as close to being as highly overrated as Dion Phaneuf. Now Habs fans don't get upset, this is just one guy's opinion. |

Horrible idea richard. We dont need a guy like that fighting his own teammates in practice. We want guys that are team players. - Ihatebrianburke
What's wrong with intensity. DD and PK are both competitors. I would be more worried if they didn't give a crap. This isn't kindergarten. Both guys would still go to war for each other. I wish the Habs had more guys with the fire in their belly. |

Subban is a cancer in your dressing room and you should trade him. Just not to us. Its not like hes fought one guy. Hes fought multiple teammates including his own captain. No room for a guy like that in the team first concept we're promoting here in etown. And hes definitely not worth our lottery pick - Ihatebrianburke
When has PK ever fought Gionta???? Didn't happen. He's had run ins with Plekanec (twice) and now Desharnais. I stand by what I have said before - I'll take a guy with fire in his belly any day over someone who is just going through the motions. You want competitive players - not a love in. |

Damn.....Detroit should have known this logic when Primeau and Yzerman fought in practice. The shame they could have spared parting ways with Stevie Y. Then of course there was the selfishness of Mario Lemieux, Sid Crosby.
If SUbban was on the Oilers you'd be praising the yell out of him. - willey101

Petrell. - Lahey
I suggest to keep Petrell. He comes at a low cost for bottom 6. EDM has to send back at least one of Eager, Jones, Belanger, also LA will be asking for a pick no matter what. LA does not have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd this draft season. Penner, Stoll, Mitchell, Bernier, and Brown is probably who they are looking to deal to regain those picks.
Brown in LA is expendable, considering the depth they have Clifford, Loktionov, King, and Nolan. They will have Stoll, Penner, and Mitchell becoming UFA, so LA will have cap space to resign Quick. |

From TSN:
After practice, Andrei Kostitsyn quipped that everyone wants to fight Subban, adding that every spat at Habs practice seems to involve the hard-hitting defenceman.
In his 2 year career, Subban has fought 6 times in games and now 4 times in practices against his teammates. Practice hard, but not to the point that everyone in your room wants to fight you. Talent aside, an act like this has a shelf life...time for Subban to grow up. - axemen6
He's 22. Of course he has to grow up. Do some research on the kid and stop judging him by what you read in the mainstream media. Give him time to mature and he will be a top 10 Dman (minimum) when he hits his ceiling. I just hope it's in Montreal. |

I like Petrell, but I think he's replaced next year. Just a feeling.
As for that list it's like saying Hemsky is expendable because we have Eager, Petrell, Hordichuk, Pitlick and Hamilton. Brown is better than all those guys put together. |

Wow, Clouts. I was expecting to hear some thoughts on the Hartnell knee on Paajarvi that went unpunished. I'm disappointed. |

Honestly Methot doesn't replace Gilbert IMO.
That top 4 looks all fine and dandy, but what happens when Whitney goes down? We are left with Petry as the only guy that might be able to bring offense? Methot would be nice for my idea of rolling 3 pairings and I'd take him, but you'd still need to add a PMD. - Lahey
Excellent point in regards to Whitney. Maybe we just stick to Omark & BBC for Methot and keep Gilbert. |

You could always keep him and just roll 3 lines.

Build a defense that can take you to the playoffs without Whitney. He's healthy it's an added bonus. |
