Ottawa will probably bag him given Anderson is out for awhile - MunsterMike

If they weren't maxed at 50 contracts, probably some interest. - Flyskippy
If he clears, offer our crap for their crap. |

It's been too long since I've seen the show. Dad used to watch it before/during dinner. - Flyskippy
I've got the first three seasons on DVD.
I believe there is now a full set available.
Great writing and great character actors -- especially the weekly criminals/victims.
Like early "Cheers", it pretty much took place in one room. |

hard to figure why a player versatile enough to play wing or goal is on waivers, no? red flags everywhere there for me. |

Hartnell can play the PK, we just have players better at it.
Also, is it really a con that Hartnell has chemistry with Giroux? - roenick97
Wow... Really?
1. Anyone can play the PK, but it doesnt mean they would be good at it... i dont believe I have Ever seen Hartnell on a PK, unless it was out of pure despiration.
2. The CON is that you lose that chemistry, not that the chemistry is a con... |

Not hard to free up a contract slot if they were really interested. Can trade a Phantom for a bag of pucks. |

Everyone is taking what I posted to another level. Im just stating the Flyers have an option. They can keep Carle and ride out the year but they could deal him and try to improve for the future. I understand they gave up picks to acquire Grossman and Kubina bc they think their contenders and I credit them for that. IMO I think the Flyers are not true contenders. So there is nothing wrong with thinking about moving pieces for the future. - stveshdy
Yes there is. You want them to go back on the steps made to make a solid run in the playoffs. I'm sorry but it doesn't make sense. |

I'm not understanding you because there is nothing to understand. You want to take from he defense before we get into the playoffs, when we just added to the defense. It doesn't make sense.
What about all the seasons we made it to the Eastern Conference Finals before Pronger got here? We made it to the second round without Pronger and gave top notch goaltenders like Ryan Miller and Tim Thomas a hard time. - roenick97
I understand what your saying. I wouldnt have added both defenseman if I was going to move Carle. My only point is if the Flyers believe they werent contenders if was an option. Obviously its not bc they think they can win by adding two new defenseman. I personally would of been a seller at the deadline. I think this team isnt good enough to contend in the East, thats my opinion. |

Antti Miettinen placed on waivers today. Wonder if the Flyers would have any interest. He was a name that many brought up in the summer. - PLindbergh31
None whatsoever, I'd imagine. |
