I take refuge in this:
"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap." Galatians 6:7
He might not get his recompense now, but someday he will. We all will. - Flyskippy
The Lord will smote Carter with herpes from a porn star is what I'm reading out of this |

So yes or no Bill? - coffee junkie
My verdict would be no (I'd do it in off-season but I think he'll be on his next team by then). I would do Voracek and LA's choice of Gus or MAB, but I think other teams can and will come up with better offers, especially on defenseman side.

Fantastic message. As soon as Carter learned he was traded to Columbus his primary goal was to figure a way out of there before he even put a CBJ sweater on. - PLindbergh31

Just like ppl I work with... it's ridiculous. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. - flyguy12
There is one person here who squeaks all the time and it has afforded her absolutely nothing. She has no idea why she doesn't get promoted/get raises/get recognized. There is a point at which what you do counts more than what you say.
If Carter hadn't gotten healthy and started to heat up, he'd have had no value. I'm stunned they got a 1 for him. |

I don't like the Read, Briere, Jagr line at all. - flyguy12
Yup. I will always maintain that you petty much need 3 different dynamics on at least your top 2 lines. Playmaker, Finisher and Mucker. I don't see a mucker there. |

Serious question: is Tim a columnist or a reporter? I'm confused now. - bradleyc4
"Flyers Insider"--not sure what that means but I'd guess chief hockey bullpoopter.
Another former Pulitzer finalist fallen on hard times. |

as much as I would want Brown, there is something bothersome about trading with LA again. |

If Carter was so miserable in Columbus he was more than free to retire from the NHL and pursue any field he wished, in any city. It is a free country. As long as he was under contract to play for the Columbus Blue Jackets, it's his responsibility to show up for work and do his job. |

If there is a Lord, smiting with Herpes would be a damned effective punishment, especially for a guy living in a warm climate. |

I'd rather see Simmonds or Hartnell on that line, I don't like Giroux with both 17 & 19 |

He was repeatedly injured and when finally healthy heated up enough to make himself valuable again. |

The fact that Howson decided to trade him 40 games into his tenure with the team?

He's a "correspondent", I think. I can think of some more accurate terms, but I don't think they're CoC friendly. |

Random question:
Is an all wheel drive car way better in snow than a front wheel drive car with traction control and vehicle stability assist? I live in rural PA so the winters aren't terrible by any means, but I want something that I think the family feels safer in (than my current '04 Civic). I want the new Impreza, but it's a little more costly than I'd like, and am wondering if a cheaper 2wd sedan could be pretty much as good in inclement weather. |
