I know...insane based on injury history alone. - isaiah520
Missed 100 games over the last 3 seasons, or something like that.
No NTC or NMC, but he ain't going anywhere anyway with that contract.

So Hemsky gets the same amount of money per year as Neal, even though there are less years. Very interesting. |

Yeah. However, by dealing Veillieux and Foster, they get cap relief and open up some contract slots. |

Ahhh that one was a Gimme! - Jsaquella
The sentiment for sure is a gimme.... but imagining that logo on a jersey is classic.

Best one I ever saw was Polk High...logo was Al Bundy's face and every jersey had Bundy on the name plate |

I Say the same thing about my buddy from the gym. He has an old tee shirt, Polk High on the front, Bundy 33 on the back. It's the best

Give me Cooties or give me death.
His size, Hockey IQ, relative youth (even to Schenn) and contract 1.375mm vs 3.110mm for Schenn (courtesy CapGeek.com)
Couturier is the second on my untouchable list to G, followed by Simmonds, probably. - Ferrarimn7
I would really hate to get trade Coots... But. I wouldn't totally take Couturier off the table. If the right deal or series of deals worked out in our favor. Like if we could dump Bryz... I still hope Bryz will come around, but I'm starting to doubt.
Example... Bundle Coots and Bryz for Nash or Brown+, or etc... And, we worked out a deal for Nabokov - being a UFA he should be cheap... We'd upgrade at forward and goalie, without touching defense.

I'd be totally on board w/ giguere...flyers need a safety net whether people want to admit it or not. I'm also totally on board with getting a pk guy or even a young dman to replace carle at the right price. |

I'd be fine with Giggy as a safety net, too. In fact he'd be perfect.
The trick is to get value for Bobrovsky.
Are you talking about replacing Carle with young defenseman now or for the future? In other words, are you saying to dangle Carle at the TDL, and get a young guy to replace him or to just have one if they can't re-sign him in the summer? |

re carle, I'd prefer to not lose him this yr, but if we need to move him out to afford a young dman going forward, I'd be ok w/ that because it's a priority. I think that weber/suter is a pipedream w/ our cap situation, so if a subban is really available, I'd try to get him for the right price. if moving carle to a western contender made that possible and the value was there, I'd embrace that scenario. |
