With this being a sellers market and the asking price for Brassard being a NHL player plus a first we need to avoid this. Instead we should join in the fun and get a first for Frolilk.

Brassard > Frolik ...

Frolik would barely net a 2nd given his lack of production and $4.67M owed after this season.

Brassard = Pirri + 2nd(2012)

Think they want to shed salary as much as possible given the Nash, Carter (now Johsnson), Wiz & Tyutin fiascos

He's fast enough and a monster of a man.

As Craig Button so aptly put it : Gausted has "manufactured toughness."

Granted he wins faceoffs.

He is not a momentum shifter in any form.

He is not gonna fly in and punish the opposiing defenders b/c he cannot get there in time.

He can use his big body as an obstruction.

But I just don't see him as a fit.

Even Ott who is not a big man fits better.

I just think that another vet defender who plays well all around and a Roy type are what solves the Toews sixth concussion issues.
With Sharp also playing through pain, Roy is the man to get the puck to the wings and able to receive it back and bury it.
